So how many career gold gloves does Jon Leicester have? How many career wins? Does he like children and puppies? Does he have a personal catcher who sucks at hitting that could blandly testify to his greatness for us? Does he have a brother that loves him and respects him? I'm dying to know. ~Bill LOL! Great post. My guess is that Leicester is fond of puppies but may not like children too much. Tim
The Crew is starting to look worse and worse every single day. Branyan should not be in cleanup (I agree with that). Also noticed Moeller's fascination with the high fastball. You'd think he'd realize that the opposing team probably knows thats all he does when the batter has 2 strikes, so they're either ready to jump on it or lay off of it. Tim
Sorry about that (Clark is better than I give him credit for). You can put Jenkins, Helms, etc. in there too. It's a shame that Grieve and Clark (better than Jenkins) don't start over the guys who are really sucking. Tim
Well, Sheets could become the team's first 10 game winner (how many times have we been saying that!?) If he doesn't succeed, the next chance will be for Doug Davis against Sean Burnett of the Pirates on Friday. Go Crew..."let's score some runs!" as Sutton would say. Tim
Well, Davis didn't look great today but he's doing two things I really like: 1). 1st pitch strikes - he gets ahead in the count but sometimes can't locate well or he forces pitches leading to the batters putting wood on the ball. 2). Strikeouts adding up - Ks are adding up for Doug Davis as he is being a more "dominating" pitcher as the season progresses. It's unfortunate that he (along with the rest of the staff) cannot get run support but I am hoping it will come in time. Tim
Never said he was having a bad season, but he's not the guy on the Brewers you would normally think would be the one getting on base (usually Overbay, Podsednik, etc.) Let's get some runs, nice inning for Davis. Tim
Bennett's outings are almost always like this: He comes in, gives up a solo bomb then strikes out the rest of the batters. It's been like that a lot lately, but tvguy is right, he needs to stop hanging sliders. He comes in and does that and then the opposing team rips him right away. Tim
