  1. I'm tired of the inconsistencies...critical at bat for Guyer last night...2 pitches off plate called balls, then strikes out looking on pitch in exact location off plate. With the robot ump there won't be any questioning of balls and strikes.
  2. Per Counsell "This was the plan all along". Why wouldn't he sit Cravy out of Fridays game if that was the plan all along? Apparently they told Cravy after game last night. Makes no sense with 8 relievers in pen and 2 starters that could throw.
  3. Why would the Royals let him go? Because he's been horrible. I have seen enough of him this season to say we don't need his services.
  4. Throwing strikes is key. Suter does that very well. Most of the guys that faced him in the St. Louis series were missing the ball by a foot. He made them look pretty ridiculous.
  5. Ben Rowen was called up today. Pretty good career numbers in the minor leagues. What surprised me is how many teams he has played for. With those numbers, Why didn't stick with one of them is my question?
  6. Still don't think Coulter has figured it out as much as the other teams have figured out how to get him out since his callup to AA. Over the last 10 games his batting average is .189
  7. A few years back Caleb Theilbar was released and made it to the majors with the Twins...another lefty.
  8. Throwing a cutter with infield shifted was a mistake by someone, either by the pitcher or whoever sets the defense. I can't believe he wasn't walked with a base open though. We will walk Robison Cano but not McCutcheon?
  9. I watched the entire game yesterday a couple times...yes I didn't have anything better to do. I think the small catcher's glove that he uses, costs our pitchers strikes, plus he dropped a couple of third strike foul tips. I think it hurts framing pitches. Anyone else notice this?
  10. Middlebrooks bat is lacking but truly he is the only 3rd baseman on the team and probably plays it better than anyone else. Watched a lot of skysox games and he was very consistent fielding his position unlike other players they had playing third.
  11. Read about Saenz's one day in the majors here: viewtopic.php?f=63&t=32538 Great article, I enjoyed reading it.
  12. I don't understand why we have infielders playing outfield positions.
  13. Anyone have a list?
  14. Outstanding. I like him more already. Unfortunately Seattle will do every thing possible to throw his rhythm off.
  15. Anyone remember Brad Mills...2014 was hs best.
  16. Suter deserves a chance, was having a great year except for last outing. Only thing that concerns me is the low k total for 110 innings, balls are going to be put in play and the defense needs to strong. Seattle been hot lately but maybe Suter can cool them off.
  17. You don't have an open roster spot...26th man because of doubleheader only.
  18. It sure took them long enough to realize that he's either bad or injured or both. He's been awful since May and Counsell kept running him out there in close games like nothing was wrong. Blazek has been bad since spring training, not just May.
  19. Makes no sense to bring up a guy for 1 day only to send him back the next day, when the pen is rested. Unless of course they are expecting to get blown out and want someone to take up some innings, which is probably going to be the case.
  20. I would love to them make a deal to bring minor league baseball back to Wichita. Would fall under the PCL zone. Brewers front office, look into it.
  21. I like the picks. Not sure about Erceg.
  22. When he loses control...he's awful...walks a lot too...not what you want from a closer. When he's on...he's good.
  23. Free agent
  24. I agree with everything above, Jungmann and Peralta not being Johnson fault, Guerra and Davies are not his success (up till injury), Garza is Garza. I was thinking that Anderson could just be park effect coming from the west division parks, so took a look, and his home era is 4 and road is 6, but exactly the same whip and average allowed. So not really a park effect to blame, still would obviously be better pitching in Los Angeles, etc. I did think we were trading for his best, prime year this year and would get a 3.75 type era performance. What would be really nice to know is what Nelson is. Is he the pitcher from the end of June through July or the guy since that? Or he just going to be up and down and end up around a 4.00 era type of guy a majority of his career? It would be nice if Johnson can work some magic with Anderson and Nelson.
