  1. Even with tonight's homer, I can't believe Flores is still on roster. He is absolutely horrible and his numbers prove it.
  2. One of the runs Hader gave up was a ball lost in lights by Brinson and the left fielder.
  3. Going to Sky sox games over next two days...I'll give a breakdown on what I see.
  4. Peralta 3 innings last night....cut short and going back to majors?
  5. I can't see him getting that many ab's, there are currently 3 OF better than him on the Biloxi roster.
  6. Great...promote a guy that doesnt deserve it, Rubio should of got called first as he has actually out-played Coulter. Are they just batting him DH? His OF defense is way below par.
  7. It is surprising that a number of minor league pitchers have performed better once they are out of the Brewers organization. I would be interested to know if the new pitching coach messed with Jungmanns mechanics thus sending him in a tailspin.
  8. Very few earn their way up from Colorado Springs.
  9. Surprised Goforth got called up....30 walks 31 K's at AAA...Surprised Scahill or Magnifico didn't get a chance.
  10. For the life of me, I don't understand this mindset to somehow punish Luc. First, the Brewers included the NTC in the contract. They knew it was there, and it's there for a reason. Secondly, he likely has 1 solid contract in his career, and trying to get to that contract sooner is exactly what he should be thinking about. And lastly, at some point if you do want to get something of value for him, sending him down to AAA or sitting him only hurts the Brewers. You're still paying him, you get nothing from him, and you're further eroding what you can get. I understand emotional responses, but some of these are just short sighted and silly. Yea I don't get the vitriol for Luc either. He never once complained about it nor did he complain about Milwaukee's lack of desire for an extension. There is a reason Cleveland was on his no trade list. He doesn't seem to want to be there long term. So it makes sense for him to decline to go to a place he clearly has no interest in going. Even then he would have went but he wanted something out of it in return. Cleveland said no. I can't blame him for that either. A year and a couple months isn't long term. You're correct though, it's Lucroys right.
  11. So if Lucroy was going to be the starting catcher next year, he wouldn't have vetoed the deal? I don't think so. It comes down to money and he wants more.
  12. If a GM knows that a player has veto rights, the GM should talk to the player before making any deal. He should've known that before getting on the phone with any team. It's a business, talk to your employee. He has a contract with the Brewers not anyone else. I agree with you on this 100%, it makes Stearns look bad. What a wast of time too. If he makes a deal with a non veto team then so be it, Lucroy has no say.
  13. I thought 5 million for being a backup next year wasn't unreasonable. Worst case Brewers will keep him through next year and get nothing except a good catcher at a great deal. He can be sent to any number of teams without veto and will be stuck with his 2017 option.
  14. Change of scenery didn't help Storen.
  15. Just saw the Allstars from the pioneer league...What did Nash Walters do to deserve an all-star selection? Several other pitchers clearly deserved it before him.
  16. That was the wrong time to try and take 3rd. Does he get a performance bonus for leading league in steals?
  17. That was from June 20th. Look at the night he had Tuesday, wow. Good for him. Saw him play earlier this year against Wichita, he looked pretty good in that outing and so did former brewer hand Seth Harvey.
  18. Ichiro faced much better pitching than Greenberg, so there's really know way of knowing who was better.
  19. Promotion to AA? The only players that deserve a promotion to AA are the ones that earn it. I am tired of them promoting guys in the past just because of where they were drafted. Another 1st round pick wasted. Not sure Stearn's regime is going to allow him to move up since he wasn't one of his picks. Keep him back at A+ and see if he can hit his way out.
  20. I like Davies, he has the best control of all the starters. Not sure hitters are making the correct adjustment on him by moving up in box.
  21. I would be interested to know what percentage of deadline pickups actually helped a team vs. not helping a team.
  22. Peralta start will be Tuesday in Nashville....anyone know why he is skipping his Monday start in the Springs?
  23. I blame this loss on Counsell...Elmore should not be at 3rd.
  24. Looking forward to Woodruff vs. Astin matchup...The Broxton trade and money dump may not have been the best trade. Shackleford is have quite the year too.
  25. Boras didn't even bring up this point but I will...Maybe they should of left Davies up instead of sending him down...I'm pretty sure he wouldn't do any worse than Wilkins with a bat in his hands.
