  1. I kinda think we got back too little. Specially for someone who is cost controlled for 4 years. We should have gotten either another younger high upside guy or a better pitcher. I wonder if we included Smith if we could have gotten Matt Chapman too
  2. I'm more worried about the C of our future. I don't see him in the system.
  3. I'm hopeful he'll at least start the season at Appleton. The only experience he has is Rookie Ball. It'd probably be a mild disappointment if he doesn't finish the season in High A, though. That's asking a lot out of a kid who is only 19 and struggled the first time in rookie ball
  4. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/01/mlbtr-podcast-with-brewers-gm-david-stearns.html Podcast with Stearns
  5. They had cash before signing Davis. I'm sure they would want us to pick up a ton of Braun's contract to make a deal .
  6. Trading Davis solves a lot of questions. Braun can go back to LF where he is at least avg and Santana can go to RF
  7. Sure he does, he's said similar things in the past. I knew he was going to have a bad attitude about the rebuild before his latest comments were even reported. Quotes?
  8. I saw nothing unprofessional about Lucoy's comments. And he doesn't have a history of doing this so it's not going to be a big deal for a different GM.
  9. I'd probably follow the Twins but not nearly as closely as I do the Brewers.
  10. Anyone know where you can look up unearned runs by team? I'm curious to know where we ranked the last couple of years
  11. I don't think we have to have a #1 pitcher to make the post season/WS. Looks at KC they won with good but not great SP and great def and smart base running. The Mets made it to the ws but couldn't hit and the dodgers with 2 #1 couldn't win the pennant. If we can get better def out of 1b/3b and hopefully SS our starting pitching will improve
  12. The minor league teams. Also if this team can find a 3B out of the 10 guys they have.
  13. What about the Cubs? Montero hasn't really been good since 2012 and I think Ross retired. They have a couple of good hitting C/3B at AA in Contreras and Candelario.
  14. You could do a brewery tour too
  15. He does have some innings at 3b. Might have found our 3B for next season
  16. Davis is not a replacement level palyer.in 13 his ops+ was 155 and last year in a down year it was 122
  17. They do have a C in Tyler Marlette. Still needs to work on the defense. He had a down year with the bat last year but put up a 860 ops in 2014 at A+/AA
  18. The Mariners, who minutes ago reportedly agreed to acquire Wade Miley from the Red Sox, are also in pursuit of Brewers first baseman Adam Lind, reports Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports (via Twitter). Seattle has a need at first base after trading both Mark Trumbo and Logan Morrison already this offseason. Lind, 32, batted .277/.360/.460 for the Brewers in 2015 and would give the Mariners a potent bat to deploy against right-handed pitching. He’s a lifetime .293/.354/.509 hitter against righties and batted .291/.380/.503 against them in 2015. Lind is the quintessential platoon player, having logged just 112 PAs against lefties in 2015 and owning a career .213/.259/.327 batting line against southpaws. The Mariners have a potential in-house option to handle a platoon in the form of Jesus Montero, or the team could look to bring in a free-agent platoon partner such as Mike Napoli. The Brewers exercised a one-year, $8MM club option on Lind this offseason on the heels of his solid 2015 season. He’ll be a free agent next winter.
  19. Got non tendered by the Padres. He's had 1 good year and been below average since. Wouldn't mind picking him up to see if he can bounce back. Maybe he does and you have a legit 3b for 3 years till he hits FA or you flip him for more assets
