Doubt Hiura will be ready until 2019. Even Ryan Braun needed 2 years of MiLB
-
Where do you think they will find that help for next year? 1B Thames/Aguilar 2B Walker/Villar SS Arcia 3B Shaw C Pina LF Braun CF Phillips/Broxton RF Santana I know they need a bat in a major way, but who takes the bullet if we go after a big bat this off season? Which positional player gets the boot in the line-up above? I'd like to see them go after a big slugger 1B as I do not think either of our options are going to be our answer in the future. A big move like getting Votto to play 1B would change this team a lot. I don't see them doing that. I'm not at all convinced Walker will be back, nor do I think they should pay that money to him when they desperately need pitching. Bottom line is I wouldn't hesitate to upgrade the offense at any position, no need to be overly loyal to any of these guys...

Zobrist looks pretty much done. Baez would have made the out there.
-
Need outs here Chase
-
Exactly! Thank you If the people who get paid to scout games prefer to sit behind netting, that tells you all you need to know about visibility
-
Isn't there a Cardinal forum somewhere? Who cares about that goofy franchise?!
-
The players won't let their kids attend a game unless they are behind netting. There is a reason for that
-
Brett Phillips looks like the real deal
-
I'm definitely in favor of protective netting foul pole to foul pole
-
So everyone can question Counsell and demand he be fired if they lose. . Hmmmm OK.... So he's pitched 3 out of the last 4 days and now we have him going 2 innings?
-
Why is Knebel pitching more than one inning?
-
I think it is insane to not have Arcia starting at SS in nearly every game. Sogard has a .402 OBP vs RHP, so I understand wanting to start him. I just don't like giving up the plus defense that Arcia provides.
-
Yeah MLB! Leave Braun alone. I want Robo-Braun back!
-
Thanks. Yes, apparently I'm still brain damaged from last night's game!
-
All righty lineup, most likely, except Shaw at 3B... CC loves his platoons.... Would really love to see big games out of Braun, Aguillar, Pina....
-
Would've liked to see a hitter like Nate Orf up and pinch hitting instead of Susac. You are in a playoff hunt and you have Susac pinch hitting in the clutch. There are better hitters in the organization you can utilize there. There is no need to have 4 catchers up right now.
-
It is somewhat of an industry trend. Swing for the fences, don't worry about strikeouts. It is one of the reasons the Dodgers won't win the WS. Just a faulty approach in big games Pretty painful when Javier Baez of all people shortens up and makes contact and beats you
-
Crazy was a lot better on the road this year in AAA than at home. I'm not convinced Drakeis better than him
-
That was honestly one of my least favorite games ever. Right on up there with the NLCS game that Roenicke started Kotsay in CF.
-
Is Susac a better hitter than Chase Anderson or Brett Suter? Asking for a friend
-
These last two days are why I'm concerned about Counsell long term: Drake & Jeffress should have pitched last night. Knebel and Swarzak should have been rested and saved for tonight. The management has been a little bit of a clown show lately.
-
Phillips would have had that
-
Is Arcia hurt?! How the heck do you have Eric Sogard starting at short?
-
Who cares about the Cardinals? What a boring, pathetically hypocritical franchise. MLB should have thrown the book at them after the Astros database scandal and gutted them top to bottom. Let them become a AAA team or move out of state like the football Cardinals did. They are by far my 2nd least favorite sports team, trailing only Penn State football who are even more hypocritical.
