  1. Bill Hall stats in all their glory https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/h/hallbi03.shtml
  2. well done everyone, if nothing else these IGT's are mighty entertaining
  3. Perfect Game All-American Classic live from San Diego this coming Sunday Night at 7pm on MLB Network
  4. Ever since he got hit in the neck and almost knocked out, and came back to play the next day?
  5. Actually, considering the talent level in the 2018 Draft, that isn't entirely a bad thing. Get in the playoffs or get a Top 10 pick. Anything else doesn't help as much
  6. Guessing that his teammates call him Ocho
  7. Man oh man, I think Lepay is way better than BA. Just a matter of opinion though. I like a good home grilled steak better than McDonald's too, even though Billions eat the Mickie D's
  8. I don't know how he can be expected to start with just 2 pitches. Maybe if he develops a changeup
  9. Agreed, and not just anyone can hit 8th either. I'm certain the Brewers front office and Craig Counsell are looking at metrics much more advanced than "Batting average and OBP since June 1st"
  10. “We’re always going to have to balance near term with long term,” Stearns said. “That’s true now, it’s going to be true next year and it’s going to be true the year after that. Our goal here is to have a team that is in position for us to add at the deadline year after year after year." I like that. I think the strategy they are using is smart. It is important to avoid being impulsive in judging the trade deadline. 3 years from now we can look back and see how valuable Brinson & Hader were in '18/'19/'20 and look and see how valuable Gray & Quintana were in those years too.... if we were two trades away from being in a position to blow out the Dodgers that'd be different, but we're not.... yet
  11. The Brewers & Verlander seems like such an unlikely thing. I'll believe it when I see it
  12. I don't know if Hader can throw 98 consistently as a starter. He's much more hittable cruising at 93-94, although his slider is filthy. I like him more coming out of the pen blazing 98
  13. He looks to me more like a relief ace similar to Andrew Miller, and a very valuable one at that. I can understand wanting to see if he could be a starter though
  14. It was mostly intended to just be a light hearted thread, and the responses have been fun I do find the notion that "there are much worse announcers out there" to be not exactly a convincing vote of confidence. McDonald's gets lots of "national work" too, they are kinda bland. At least Brian hasn't talked about his Dog in 2 or 3 games, I'd call that a hot streak
  15. Yup. Has there been any changes to the Tampa stadium situation? I know it's basically crap, but after this long they don't draw anyone it's probably time to give someplace else a crack at it and see how it goes rather than spending a billion on a new stadium there. I don't recall any news about a new stadium. Probably better to do that than a 2 team expansion. Montreal and Charlotte would keep them in the AL East. The Rays will not be relocated because they have a large fanbase that prefers not to attend games in person (stadium issue + older skewing fanbase). The Rays TV audience is in the top half of MLB. They have a much larger TV audience than the Brewers (thanks to higher population in Tampa/St. Pete). Well, Lord have mercy give them free access to the TV airings of the Montreal Rays then!
  16. Susac hitting .205 in AAA this year (.139 in away games!)
  17. muy no bueno. woah solvd
  18. Eloy Jimenez since being traded to the White Sox: .343 Batting Average, .405 On-Base %. .657 Slugging (end/small sample alert)
  19. He fractured a rib swinging the bat? Crazy!!!
  20. Or, Stearns values the prospects we have higher than what we could have gotten back for them
  21. Much prefer Matt Lepay Maybe the Rangers can steal BA away? Perhaps that is his dream job
  22. Can we start with demoting Brian Anderson, give the full time job to Matt LePay and trade Anderson to the Golf Channel for a 2 month supply of the "clear" for Braun?
