  1. The Ricky Gervais Podcast is an absolute must! (Although you have to pay for archived podcasts; about $5 a season) Other than that, I listen to the Adam Carolla podcast on a semi regular basis.
  2. Win this game and the Brewers are assured a winning road trip! Lets go Crew!
  3. I just wonder, even if Cleveland agreed to something like this, if Mark A. would be willing to take on the extra salary? I thought at this point we were almost maxed out on payroll.
  4. I've been going back and forth for a little while over whether or not to sign up for ESPN Insider. Does anyone here have it? Is it worth the money? Is it essentially just news/rumors/stats that I could find on other free MLB blogs?
  5. I really think we need to go out and get someone (DeRosa would be perfect). I just can't say I'm the slightest bit excited about anyone we have on this current roster playing every day at 2B. I know Melvin says he isn't looking for help outside the organization... ...but hopefully that's just GM speak.
  6. Kendall's better than Chad Moeller if that makes anyone feel better...
  7. Phew...its nerve racking staring at my computer just praying "in play (runs)" doesn't pop up with Pujols at the plate. Huge out there!
  8. I'd rather Hoffman came in for the 8th and DiFelice in the 9th just based on where in the batting order we are.
  9. I would think you'd have to bunt the runners over with Kendall here.
  10. I don't know if anyone's following on ESPN GameCast, but they have a cool new feature that shows you the percentage of each team winning. Right now the Brewers have a 78% chance of winning if anyone's curious.
  11. I haven't seen anyone bring up Memphis or Nashville yet, both of which have populations about the size of Milwaukee. I think the South would be a great place for another team because the only team currently located in that region is the Braves.
  12. Yeah I was assuming Hall would just move back to short. I'd be shocked if that actually were the case that we traded Hardy, it was just a thought.
  13. Maybe we're trading Hardy. I'm sure I'm wrong, but who knows. It was just a thought I had.
  14. I really think most of this complaining about the Brewers from other teams comes from the fact that the Brewers have become a quality team. Everyone in the division was so used to us being pushovers, that when we finally start beating them on a more regular basis, they get frustrated. Its sort of like your little brother growing up and beating you at all the sports you used to beat him at.
  15. I don't have time to make this look nice since I'm in class, but we need a IGT! Anyone know the story on the rain? Are we starting soon?
  16. I'm a big fan of instant replay in all sports. There's nothing worse in my mind than having your favorite team lose a game because of a blown call. Therefore, I think that MLB should expand instant replay to cover more close plays. I will say, however, I do not think instant replay should ever be allowed on balls/strikes.
  17. I always thought the Utah Jazz and LA Lakers made no sense.
  18. I was wondering if anyone thought this thread should be moved to a different forum, maybe the IGT forum. It just seems to be somewhat hidden in the Issues/Events forum, with a lot of newer members not even knowing it exists. Just an idea.
  19. In A-Rod's defense these are all second hand reports and speculation. There's no proof to back any of these claims up. Edit: Grammar
  20. It's possible they factor career stats into that.
  21. Its not so much that this show is so similar to The Office that bothers me, its that Amy Poehler's character is so similar to Michael Scott. Its fine to have a show shot in the same way as The Office, but don't copy characters from the show. That aside, I will keep watching the show for the time being.
  22. I just saw this posted on Deadspin. That's awful.
  23. My girlfriend and I just finished watching the entire series on dvd a few months ago. I have to say for me its one of the best television shows ever, if not the best. After the last episode I felt that I really missed the characters. It was almost like I lost a group of friends. I know it sounds silly, but that's how good the writing was. It just drew me in to where I felt like I was there with the Fishers.
  24. I haven't watched it yet, but I saw a few promos that looking intriguing. I need to find a new show now that I finished watching Six Feet Under.
  25. I really didn't follow the WBC that carefully in 2006, but I have to say its growing on me this time around. I think it's good for the growth of baseball globally.
