  1. Well, Pedro looked pretty good pitching for the Dominican Republic today. Sure it was only three innings, but it was enough that teams will look at him more seriously now. I can't say I would mind seeing him in a Brewers uniform this year, but I really don't see that happening. Some big market team will take a chance on him I'm guessing.
  2. As far as I can tell, the only consoles for sale right now are the 80gb, and the 160gm bundle. I bought an 80gb PS3 a couple months ago and am happy with it. You really don't need the 160gm unless you plan on buying TONS of games, so I'd suggest going for the $399 80gm model. Just to note, you will probably want to buy an additional controller ($50), and a blu ray remote if you'll use it as a blu ray player ($25). In addition, a controller charger is also incredibly useful so that you can charge multiple controllers at once.
  3. I'd be interested in joining 'Rillo's keeper league. I just sent you a pm.
  4. I wouldn't mind joining a league just for fun. I've set up free fantasy baseball leagues at BF.net before and usually found them pretty competitive even though they're just for free. I'd be willing to set up a league if people are interested. edit: It looks like people are forming fantasy leagues in the pinned thread above. That might be a better bet.
  5. iTunes is probably the way to go, especially since most of their music is DRM free now. Otherwise Amazon is always a good option.
  6. They show the CV incident in the highlight video here.ESPN Bucks/Cavs Recap
  7. I just did a quick search on Ebay and found these... I'm sure you could find them on sale through some ticket brokers as well. FotC Tickets
  8. I've seen him bartending at a restaurant in Fort Atkinson, so he's still in the WW area at least.
  9. Here's a quite interesting article from Baseball Prospectus that argues a salary cap would not be good for baseball. http://www.baseballprospe...rticle.php?articleid=8409
  10. Its kind of funny, I've definitely noticed her dropping "subtle" hints as to what she likes. I don't know how I'll pry her ring size out of her though without being pretty transparent, so I may have to ask her best friend and hope she can keep a secret.
  11. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it! Edit: Thanks for the heads up on Kesslers as well. I went into the Jareds on the west side of Madison, and although they were really nice and helpful, I just sort of felt like I was looking at jewelry at the "Wal-Mart" of jewelry stores.
  12. So I'm at that point where I'm looking into engagement rings. I'm just kind of curious how much people thought was an appropriate amount to spend on a ring. I realize this is very subjective due to age/financial situation etc, so to get some perspective I'm a 24 yr old who's just about finished with college. I've gone to some jewelry stores and it seems I can get something pretty nice in the $3500-$4000 range.
  13. Six Feet Under is really a great show. I can't believe it took me this long to finally check it out.
  14. The exact same thing happened to my sister. She had a cruddy Compaq laptop which wouldn't even turn on most of the time even when plugged in. I think they said she had a problem with the socket for the power cord. http://answers.yahoo.com/...qid=20080416110947AA9JYIZ
  15. I just drove down to Mississippi last weekend and saw a few gas stations with sub $2.00 gas in Missouri and Arkansas.

  17. I was curious if anyone knew how home field advantage for the playoffs was determined. For example, if the playoffs started today we'd be playing the Mets in the Divisional round. While the Mets are a division winner, we have the better overall record. Would the Mets then be given home field because they're the division winner, or would the Brewers because we have the better overall record?
  18. I'm going to be buying a new laptop soon and I'm wondering how big of a difference there is between processors, and if its worth the extra money for the top of the line processors. For example, is it worth the extra $125 to get the higher end processor (AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor ZM-82 (2.2GHz)) vs the cheaper (AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core Processor for Notebook PCs QL-60 (1.9GHz))? (edit) I don't plan on doing any gaming etc. I'll be using the laptop for web browsing, school projects (word, excel, access), music, movies etc... d : KF843AV Price : 200.00 EPP Price : 0.00 MIR : 0.00 IR : 0.00
  19. JJ gets on these hot streaks and can put up some great numbers, but he can't seem to sustain them. Even last year when he hit 26 HR's he still ended the year with around a .775 OPS. I'm not saying he'd be terrible, but I'd like to keep him at short where he has much more value if at all possible.
  20. We're going to lose a lot of production offensively if we move JJ to third. A ~.750 OPS from our third baseman isn't exactly going to cut it.
  21. Ok thanks, thats what I was thinking was the case.
  22. I just read this quote on MLBtraderumors.com Has anyone else heard about the possibility of trading JJ, or is this just WSSP callers making up rumors?
