  1. The hangovers should pass around inning 5 This proved accurate
  2. Zack Brown the latest Arizona rehabber, debuting for Blue. Zavolas with 7 scoreless and 7 Ks. Pitching really well this month after struggling the first couple of months.
  3. Feliciano on rehab for Gold. Last game was May 21 due to a shoulder injury.
  4. Definitely on board with these two. Otero is 29. He's on pace to be a 30 year old rookie like Junior Guerra. Might as well get him to AAA. With Luna, I'm still thinking back to the solid AAA start he made as a rookie baller and hoping we really got something there.
  5. I kind of get it. With all the off days, he's probably not pitching again until 9-10 days from now in Pittsburgh. But now you've run up the count and got Perdomo coming in with the bases loaded.
  6. Nothing like Burnes turning in his best start of the year to save the depleted pen. Though I'd let Perdomo take the inning.
  7. Incredible. Replay view in a post below shows it was the correct call as well. Rojas queueing up another All-Star break for himself with that pushing.
  8. Same with me. I used to be anti-DH a few years ago, but not anymore. Take the bat away from them and be done with it! The double hook rule is perfection. Get pitchers out of there, and avoid the AL thing where it's not uncommon for a team to not utilize a single player off the bench.
  9. 97 with movement and for strikes will play for a last man in the pen. To progress beyond that, he's going to need a second pitch. Only threw a couple of sliders in two innings, and they weren't close to being passable pitches. With how he worked low in the zone, a changeup would be a game-changer for him.
  10. Based on who pitched tonight, it would be Eric Yardley. Scoreless in his last six appearances in AAA, so worth a rotation I suppose. No. Milner and Lobstein. With all the call ups since Yardley went down, he’s probably finished in Milwaukee Both pitched tonight for Nashville. Would be Yardley or Bettinger if they need a fresh arm to jump in the car and drive to Cincy for tomorrow.

  12. Needs a bit better command and probably a change up. Seemed to be able to throw strikes. But yes, he only has one pitch. 97 with movement will play for a last man in the pen I suppose.
  13. If Freddy's shut down for another week to limit innings, ballsy move would have been to send him to the pen to take this inning.
  14. Exactly correct. Richards is Generic Bullpen Guy. We have a pretty good bullpen, and can easily get another Richards in the next couple weeks, maybe even call one up. Francis was the bigger give. Tough parting with a reliable MiLB starter whose clock hasn't started. Even so, there's a good chance he never amounts to more than a Generic Bullpen Guy himself. And if he debuts looking like Bettinger has, his trade value plummets to zero quickly.
  15. I think we'll get to keep both around. There'll inevitable be an injury to backfill, and they can always slow roll a rehab assignments and take one of the added spots in September.
  16. Feels good to open with a win, get some hitting, and not allow the Reds to get away with their blunders.
