  1. Was thinking end of the month was a good timeline if Hiura was still hitting well in Nashville. But there's going to be at least four left-handed starters between now and then. I don't mind seeing if he can translate the fix and/or hot streak to help us now.
  2. I'll take a stab at the lineup prediction. Looks way better than our previous lineups vs. LHP, and results couldn't be worse. Wong Cain Yelich Garcia Hiura Adames Pina Urias Woodruff
  3. If you had May 23 in the Yelich's first home run pool, you're the big winner! Honorable mention to the single fan who could be heard trying to start an "overrated" chant during the AB.
  4. Pay off pitch Pay off pitch Pay off pitch again Pay off pitch I kind of hope Lepay has a brain fart and yells "First down!" just to break the monotony.
  5. You know things are really off the rails when he's faced the Brewers offense for one inning and this is still an open question.
  6. The couple of outings are in, and he is not a major league pitcher. They tried the phantom IL stint to reset and work things out, and he's worse than ever. Someone like Miguel Sanchez would be worth a look.
  7. Yep, though not an encouraging one: Adam McCalvy @AdamMcCalvy David Stearns mentioned Brad Boxberger, Brent Suter and Eric Yardley (when he's back from a shoulder injury) as relievers they will count on ahead of Williams & Hader. Justin Topa is still multiple months from being a Major League option, Stearns said. 6:17 PM · May 21, 2021
  8. Bad enough that Eric Thames is the MVP? Thames is awesome though. The KBO is bad enough that Lindblom was the MVP.
  9. Yardley making a rehab appearance as we speak. Seems like a Lindblom DFA as the corresponding move would work.
  10. Eric Karros. I like how he's continuously ripping on bad Brewers things without the homer sugarcoating.
  11. Yelich still hitless since coming back. Hitless in rehab appearances as well.
  12. "Almost amazing the Brewers only scored once" Fixing that last comment on the telecast. He clearly hasn't watched much.
  13. Daniel Robertson was activated, so we've got the pitcher for the bottom of the 8th covered.
  14. Adam McCalvy @AdamMcCalvy 2. Urías becomes a utility guy, essentially. Stearns made the case they still like him and think he’s a big part of the future, though it appears that means a more limited role.
  15. I will predict Robertson quite literally to be here today, gone tomorrow.
  16. The good: Selling high on Feyereisen, buying low on Adames. Rasmussen is always going to be a bullpen arm, hasn't been anything special yet. Recognizing issues with lineup and trying to improve now. The bad: Rasmussen is young, and throws gas - future closer potential. Richards is Generic Bullpen Guy. If you make the case that there's not a material difference between Arcia and 2021 Adames, this trade amounts to Feyereisen and Rasmussen for Richards, Weigel, and Sobotka. The ugly: The Grisham trade has been so bad that it's already resulted in two mitigating off-shoot trades, two expensive free agent outfield signings that haven't paid off, and too many at-bats from budget journeymen infielders brought in to be bench players. Not considering sunk costs (as we shouldn't), I do approve of this trade. Though I don't trust Stearns to win a trade with the Rays, they do literally have three top prospect shortstops in AAA, including Wander Franco.
  17. Fun saga. I fully expect Seattle to DFA him by Monday, to try again on their plan to store him for minor league depth.
  18. Stearns: Hey Jeremy, we have a spot for you. Jeremy: Who is this? Stearns: This is David Stearns, GM of the Brewers. Jeremy: *Pulls up BR, Fangraphs, Statcast, etc.* Nah, you know what, man? I think I'm good not playing right now. His follow-up might be to ask whether he will be pitching or playing shortstop.
