Is "left shoulder impingement" the new name for a player that goes 5-48 with a gazillion LOB over the previous two months? Black's AAA numbers look terrible, but he's come on nicely over the past couple weeks. I read trade implications here - getting Black some MLB ABs to trade him, or at least to see where the bar is if they were to seek an upgrade.

The note that they will slow play it and "mid-late August" makes me think they will slow roll it a bit longer and Hoskins gets the September roster spot. -

Makes sense to do. Reports said Suarez got the call to be a replacement and declined since he spent time on the IL and believes it's better for him and the team if he rests. A strange position to be in to take a bonus to do something he finds detrimental to his team. Brewers call was probably something of the opposite: Brewers probably aren't thrilled to have Miz pitch, but Murph wasn't going to deny him a chance to be an All Star.

They would like (non-) participation trophies for Suarez (declined to pitch, so MLB passed) and Sanchez (pitching today). Both of whom their fans will boo if their next starts are bad.
