    An IL trip would be great, but it seems Yelich's back only flares up when he's doing well.

    At a minimum I would like to see a couple of these Biloxi guys going to Nashville to be on a path for the possibility of being added for September if they continue to do well.

    I'm a fan of the pitching pickups. I don't see how it's not another year where scoring more than two runs in a playoff game feels like a miracle.

    Heavy price, though from a position of depth. Just glad it's Ragsdale and not Adamczewski. #11 and #13 from a loaded farm and to a division team seems a lot compared to the prices others are paying.

    If so, I don't mind this at all. Also continues the trend - selling teams are almost all skewing toward wanting pitching. Even what little we have to offer when the farm is loaded in bats.

    Without knowing the prospects going to a division rival to plague us for years, I'm a fan of the players we are getting.

    Seems selling teams are mostly chasing pitching in these trades. We aren't willing to trade five or six years of the pitchers who are having MLB success on the chance a veteran will be a slight upgrade, and even though we're beyond loaded with position talent our pitching prospects have been largely disappointing so far this year.

    Minor league lineups fully stacked again this evening. Any trades will either result in live hugs or be on Deadline Day.

    Wonder when's the last time both pitchers came one pitch away from an immaculate inning in the same inning.

    You can debate Ortiz/Hamilton, but the lineup somehow looks about optimal with Yelich out of it.

    The Henderson/Drohan talk was always concerning to me as well. As good as our system is, it's fairly light on pitching and young starters with MLB success are not easily found, even if we've somehow been finding them.

    Miller would be insane, and he's controlled for 3 more years. Supposedly it has to be Made, and that might be the only price I wouldn't be willing to pay.

    Given our deadline acquisitions lately, he would either have had a 5 ERA the rest of the way or have gotten hurt two starts in. Though the Dodgers' package isn't anything like the media/Tigers fans had been suggesting we would have had to give up.

    That's probably the only case where the catcher should defer challenging to the pitcher.

    Not many assets left in Nashville, but Adams, Quero, Black in the lineup. Pending a hug watch, no trades for notable prospects seem imminent tonight. Adamczewski gets the nightly Biloxi Home Run Binge started.

    Progress on the Angels' part. Didn't they act as buyers a couple years ago at a point when they were like 5 games under and 8 back of playoff spot? For those obsessively tracking potential trades, TRats are underway (Braylon Payne hit his 21st) and Shuckers' lineup is posted. No notable names missing for either.

    Will be interesting to see what bullpen moves are made with Yoho out. Whenever I was close to convinced he would be a solid bullpen piece he managed to have a bad appearance. Can't see keeping Quero on the roster with this move. The shoulder concerns moving him to DHing lately and not a good enough bat if you're not getting a catcher out of it make it seem like he's no longer in the cards as catcher of the future. Which puts more pressure on opening the wallet to extend Contreras cause Dinges will have to really improve defensively to be an MLB catcher.

    Abner must love seeing Siri making all these misplays right in front of the Brewers' bullpen.

    Bauers' slump appears to be over.

    Saw a couple of Drohan mentions as well. I'm perfectly fine with modest improvements that don't cost us six or seven years of these players for a two month rental. Especially with our recent track record of rentals either stinking or getting hurt.
