  1. Can we get a new end of season video: "Pissed Off"? I would find it therapeutic.
  2. Shut him down. If surgery will do anything, get it over with.
  3. Might as well start Marco over everyone not named Mike Fiers. The $4M estimate in arbitration is starting to look tempting over a $13M option on Gallardo, which might only be worth it in hopes of getting a good first half to set up a trade.
  4. Can Fiers start every game from here on out? He's become the only starter worth a damn. Also, why is Mark Reynolds still on the team?
  5. April 6 - October 4, why so late? TWO ten game road trips in September, the second ending in San Diego (through Oct 1). Brutal. Also hate maintaining 20 interleague games. 12 would be plenty for me.
  6. [sarcasm]cigars = some of those talented Cuban players that have been making a splash lately Doug Melvin will respond to their request by bringing back Yuni[/sarcasm]
  7. At my job we also wait to address our problems until after we screw up 14 out of 17 things.
  8. 1/4rd the Cards If we're going to pee our pants against the Cards, might as well get our Wang out of the pen.
  9. Going to miss Rickie. 10 years, 1,000 hits, and 123 hit by pitch.
  10. Gorzelanny has given up one earned run and is averaging more than one strikeout per inning. Is his arm taped on or has he developed crippling anxiety in high leverage situations that would explain why he has only pitched 19.2 innings in almost three months, much of those meaningless?
  11. Lohse pulled after 79 pitches. On a related note, if anyone finds a misplaced copy of Managing for Beginners, please return it to the Brewers dugout.
  12. Tom @Haudricourt · 18m #Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said Ryan Braun is out because thumb is bothering him again. After two days off and one on? Jeez, might as well just cut the thing off. Wish RRR would stick Clark in RF and Parra in CF. After all, Schafer stunk so much in a bench role that two decent prospects were traded to be able to get him off the team.
  13. Hey now, that butchering is unfair to our Icelandic friends! Saw in the game recap: Since Fiers was called up, the Brewers have 10 wins in 28 games. Fiers has 5, half of the wins. He has one of the 18 losses, where he gave up three runs in seven innings.
  14. I'll take a couple base runners over a couple bombs any day. For the first time since Monday, August 25, the Brewers have won a game.
  15. Bad news is the magic number is still four games higher than the number of games left. Good news is it moved for the first time this month, and by two in one clip. http://livingroomgm.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/mike-cameron2.jpg
  16. Lyle's up to a .340 OBP. That would be so valuable if he had just one more asset. Alas, no power, no speed, and plays first base. OMG THREE FOUR RUNS! The floodgates are open! Normally three games' worth!
  17. Marquette gains a 2015 verbal commitment from 4-star SG Haanif Cheatham. Will be a nice first class for Wojo, especially if he gets Ellenson.
  18. I pull him back for Clark and stick him in RF, but to listen to BA and Rock people in the organization actually delude themselves into thinking Schafer has competence as a hitter.
  19. I'm for it, but who would be the replacement? The bench coach is the usual fallback, but not like turning over the hitting to little bro is going to be expected to jolt the offense. Iorg or Guerrero are the only options on the current staff, or calling up Sweet or Skube from the team with the fewest runs scored and lowest OBP in the PCL.
  20. A fan campaign for the return of the $10 shame vouchers. Just need a high priced player to get suspended to fund it. http://mlblogsbrewers.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/mb-13-10-voucher-social-graphic.jpg?w=300&h=300
  21. Should have known better when we got our token run. Can we just forfeit the rest of the season? I'd be less embarrassed if we literally didn't show up than continuously seeing shells of players trot out there and got blown out every game.
  22. It wasn't Wang, but Schafer who was the forgotten piece after all
  23. 1B Matt Clark Even better may have been sticking Clark in RF and putting Rogers at first. And Gomez at SS. But Logan hasn't been the cause of any of the past week's stink so I can live with him. I'll take what RR has given.
  24. My Stupid Quote of the Day calendar for today seems very appropriate: "The worst is over without a doubt. We have hit bottom and are on the upswing." -Secretary of agriculture James Davis in September 1930 (The Great Depression, of course, had barely begun.)
