  1. Schildt retiring due to "severe toll" the MLB season (and managing Manny Machado) takes on a person. Decent manager, never thought the Cardinals should have cast him out. Good job knowing the roster is decent and they aren't afraid to spend, or a trap given they traded away their entire farm system?
  2. Tied with Jhoulys Chacin and Mike Caldwell with 2. Names like Peralta, Woodruff, Burnes, Greinke, Gallardo, Sutton, Fingers, Haas, Vuckovich all with a single win.
  3. Reminder that Abner's 2024 season consisted of: losing the closer's job, starting a fight, getting optioned prior to serving the suspension, then a freak season-ending knee injury while playing hacky sack in the AAA clubhouse. He's come a long way.
  4. Set up for Priester and Peralta on full rest for the first two. Need to get that crooked number offense back.
  5. After the playoff curse, this is all I could think of.
  6. Yes, it was the first time since like 2000 (or whenever tracking velo started), so the first time ever. Let's do it tonight with Uribe and not urine.
  7. I should resurface my reaction. I believe it went something like "this guy should not even take AAA ABs away from Black and Martinez". 🤡
  8. Not minding the Ashby open. If he can get a couple and give way to Priester, game 3 would set up perhaps as Quintana, Patrick, Gasser all for 2-3 apiece.
  9. Biggest hole in our system is also that there are no starting rotation pieces we should plan on for 2026. Some talent in AA that could be ready for 2027. With the youth and injury histories, the rotation looks very shaky without Freddy.
  10. #1 and #2 with that and Priester. Pick the order.
  11. Hall either can't be healthy or just isn't prime after the injury. I would have liked to see Myers; playoff experience matters and Myers was excellent in his start last year. Anderson seems to wilt under pressure.
  12. Mets gonna have to run it over $400 million next year and see if that does the trick.
  13. 4-0 Marlins. Reds might be able to shift to spring training mode soon as well. Have fun in LA, Redlegs.
  14. Our pitching hope rests on throwing up to four guys into the postseason when they would be in Appleton or Nashville on rehab assignment if it were the regular season.
  15. They'll probably break out the slip n slide again and someone will get a gruesome knee injury.
  16. Miz can't even pitch an inning. It's been unbearable to watch for two months now, save a single good outing. Going to be a "put us out of our misery" NLDS. Hopefully it's the Padres that do it.
  17. I like the chances of eliminating the Cubs or Padres in the postseason better if we're game enough to eliminate the Reds in the regular season.
  18. Magic number 1 for the President's Cup...oh wait, that's hockey.
  19. Collins is slumping, but they need to get him going again. Unless he's dealing with an injury, he's sitting too much.
