  1. My take of not caring for it is based on: 1) We don't have the luxury of handing out development ABs while in first place at the end of July. 2) It's not taking ABs away from Capra or Dunn where you just let it ride with the young guy (like was done for Durbin). Durbin has been excellent. 3) Would want to see more of a sample size facing ML RHP from Durbin to sit him, given his MiLB numbers actually show sizable reverse splits.
  2. Another case where optioning Myers makes no sense to me. He's far more likely to finish the game, or he could have gone a couple in middle relief.
  3. I don't really get it. But 80% of the time when that is my reaction it works out well so I will refrain from saying anything stupid. Go Arnold!
  4. Vaughn might see a boost in home runs at AmFam, which is the second highest MLB park in expected home runs for him (behind Great American). Some of the AL central parks he played in are tough to hit homers in. Kaufman and Comerica rank as the two most difficult stadiums in MLB for him to homer, though Rate Field does play above average.
  5. Nestor is ready, and Tobias at his worst is this and at his best can pitch past the 5th inning.
  6. Another weird one: Eric Lauer has been a key pickup for the Blue Jays, who now have the best record in baseball. Just last season, he had an ERA near 5 in the KBO and was non-tendered.
  7. Or it's a very fast phantom IL excuse. Seems unlikely though. This should end those thoughts that still come up that Braun is still a good player today. Corey Hart, however...
  8. I had a dream we were allowed to give Prince and Braun one at bat in the game today. I was very hyped. Then Prince struck out looking and never got the bat off his shoulder, and Braun grounded out weakly.
  9. Did they approach us about undoing the Devin / Durbin trade and we said no?
  10. I don't think our exit velocity is high enough today and Seattle committed an error, so they will say this is a cheap and lucky win.
  11. I guess this is kind of common, yet I've never heard of it. Am I living under a rock? So the start was kind of delayed because Koenig and Woo had one of these going on.
  12. To be fair, for awhile last year Ashby could barely touch 94. So back to 98 from him is also pretty great to see!
  13. Not gonna lie, I expected Woody to struggle to hold onto a rotation spot. I didn't expect we would get our ace back.
