3.07 and near the top of the league in innings is quite the luxury for a non-leverage reliever. Many teams cycle through a half dozen DFAs just finding a guy for that role who can get three outs without blowing up.
We briefly passed the Mets in New York about five weeks ago, then fell 1.5 games behind them at the end of the series. We are now 9.5 games ahead of them.
My three guesses for the team that would be five games up on the rest of the NL at this point would be the Dodgers, the Phillies, and another guess of the Dodgers in case the first one was misheard.
