  1. The good news is we can send Elvis right back down.
  2. I was prepared to be robbed there in one way or another.
  3. 2-7 hitters are 0-23. Now would be an ideal time.
  4. If it's going to be a coin flip, we should just have a home run derby.
  5. The only man in major sports to get jiggy with three different championship teams in three straight years, going from the Braves in '21 to the wild, wild west with the Astros, then to hitch himself to the Rangers last year. Currently a man in Royals blue.
  6. If we called him up when he was tearing it up in June it would perhaps warrant more patience. But after hitting .162 in AAA in August, I'm not seeing the point of putting him in front of MLB pitching in the midst of a prolonged cold slump. Our options aren't great given it's Perkins' weaker side and Frelick has light splits, but they're still better.
  7. I'm ready for the Hicklen experiment to be over. Sal is good enough against lefties and didn't have a .562 OPS in AAA last month.
  8. Quite the blowup over a correct call.
  9. Hoskins finally heating up...ah crap, it went crooked.
  10. Do they believe Hudson's velocity drop a mechanical thing and not injury related? Was wondering if they'd IL him and try to figure that out before the playoffs. Was not expecting an option, roster crunch or not. Wilson's looks to be another phantom one. Though he was very good on Sunday, this achieves the "flex" spot I'd been hoping for which is more valuable. Throw Pegeuro for a couple innings to save the other arms, then go get Herget. Repeat and go get Jay. Eventually maybe it's Misiorowski or Yoho's turn. More value to that than a single long reliever. Last hurrah for Milner. April/May/early June Hoby is an asset even in our crowded bullpen. Late June/July/August Hoby needs to be DFA'd.
  11. About time the Cubs lost! Hernan is still only 33. With the Reds AAA team, injured.
  12. One of the "wait, that well-known player was a Brewer?" variety.
  13. We could really use a flex bullpen spot to save some arms. Have someone like Herget, Jay, Rodriguez come up and finish a game like today, then go back down for the next one of that rotation. Thought that was going to come from Wilson until he ate innings so well yesterday.
  14. I'm wondering who's responding to these "fan surveys" that say they want a challenge system instead of just turning the whole thing over to ABS.
  15. Finally getting out for Rhys. Pile up, runs.
  16. TCV will be more than that. And our owner is too cheap to buy dirt.
  17. Bryce Wilson rejects our DFA requests.
  18. Interesting to plug the guy with the .562 OPS in AAA last month into the 5 spot. Though I suppose they want his speed in front of the two power turtles versus the opposite.
