  1. Devin just screwing with the Cardinals. 😉
  2. Important Badger Mutual insurance run!
  3. The minor league season also used to be over by the first week of September. So there would always be September 1 call-ups, then a second batch when the AAA season ended. Teams would just bring them up to avoid recalling a player in late September who hadn't participated in baseball activities for weeks. Now that the AAA season extends into late September, there's more regular option/recall activity still happening.
  4. We have Peguero, Hall, Herget, Yoho, and Misiorowski in AAA and Milner, Paredes, and Zastryzny on the IL. I'm sure there are a couple of MLB teams that would do a full swap out of their bullpen for that. I wish roster expansion wasn't so stingy now. Just a couple more slots would do wonders for us. 40 may have been excessive, especially when we were actually carrying 37. Who knows what kind of crazy stuff could have been run out of our bullpen in September with a roster size that large.
  5. An easy one to find cards of the player in a Brewers uniform, but my goal for this one was to scrub through eBay for one that looked cool with a bunch of bling on it.
  6. It seems to be the Brewer way to be unable to advance the runner with less than two outs, then get the big two out hit to score the run the hard way.
  7. Division lead stays at 10. Which is ok, since the Cardinals winning puts us 1/2 game back of the Dodgers.
  8. Fully expected it would take a few weeks of easing into closing for Devin. With Megill's injury he had to go right away. He's out there going through the heart of the order of the best teams in baseball every time. That's incredible.
  9. If you can't strike out Ramirez, having him hit it two inches in front of the plate is a good plan.
  10. Quick turn. Probably better for us if the Cardinals beat the Dodgers but our division is not good so here's the Muscle.
  11. Players' Weekend returning to Major League Baseball in 2024 WWW.MLB.COM After a four-season hiatus, Players' Weekend returns this Friday to give players an enhanced voice and a creative outlet as they showcase their personalities with an eye toward growing the... I liked when they used to do the goofy nicknames on their jerseys. Wish they would have brought that back.
  12. Phillies getting production from former Brewers farmhands. Weston Wilson hits for the cycle in Phillies' win over the Nationals WWW.MLB.COM PHILADELPHIA -- Weston Wilson knew. The rookie walked to home plate in the eighth inning in Thursday night’s 13-3 victory over the Nationals at Citizens Bank Park just a double shy of the... There's dirt cheap, then there's Attanasio - too cheap to buy dirt!
  13. With the Yelich news I think it's just Perkins + Black on the position side. Haase safe as well. Only other realistic option is Hicklen, who is having a wretched August and would have to return to form at a minimum to enter the mix. Also don't see anything flashy on the pitching side, with Megill, Milner, and Parades all on the IL and Hall in AAA. Between options, IL stints, and a DFA somewhere they'll probably bounce through all of them at some point in September. That's a decent boost and doesn't really warrant debuting Yoho or Misiorowski. Also doubt they would work to find a spot to try starting Patrick or Henderson over Ross/Wilson/Hall if another starter is needed. If we get locked into a seed, they'll probably just call Rodriguez up to eat some meaningless innings.
  14. From a certain sweep to at least a chance at a split. We'll take it!
