I think the best thing about this is series is obviously we didn't play very well (aside from yelich) and took 3/4. Hitting should improve quite a bit and our pitching likely won't give up 2-3+ homers a game (hopefully). Great start, but there's more to come!

Arcia had to be the guy who needed a fast start the most. We can't do another sub .500 OPS for most of the season.

I wonder how many errors Ozuna has had with not using his hat as intended. Turns out if you turn it to the side, it doesn't help block the sun.

Can we not do the thing where when we lose this season we get blown out nearly every time? Obviously Counsell knows what he is doing, but being blown out by the cards/ cubs is not good for our health.

Like who? Our bullpen looks pretty bad. Houser would be a start. Taylor Williams also has quite a bit of talent. I guess I don’t agree with giving Barnes anymore chances. It’s been long enough.

When does the Barnes project end? Pretty sure we have better options. Or are we back to the “we’re behind so we put our worst guy in” philosophy?

no I guess I live in some weird universe where splits exist and we acquired a good defensive and high obp lefty to fill in for a good, albeit declining players. Carry on.

Who do you want Gamel to start over? Braun needs a lot of time off. I would bet Gamel starts half the year as such Unless Braun is hurt, Gamel will not start half of the games for Braun. Look I wish braun would return to form, but at this point even when heathy it’s debatable who will be better vs. RHP. I would imagine that is what Stearns was thinking when he acquired him no?

Why isn’t Yelich batting 3? Get a high obp guy like Gamel in the two hole so Cain can steal bases still. Yelich needs to have more guys on base.

How do the cardinals draft and trade for annoying, cocky players like flaherty and bader? It’s like they determine if players are annoying d bags before they acquire them. They make it really easy to hate them.

Oh boy the original arguments here.... Jeffress is horrible for being a pothead. Braun terrible for steroids... who cares? Get off your high horse. If you haven't smoked weed before, I feel bad for you. I wish him a speedy recovery and a long, lucrative contract. Marijuana has so many potential positives that the older generation keeps denying. I'll stop there. -
This is going to be a fun team. They should be able to do it all. I’m Hoping woodruff convinces them to pair him alongside Burnes in the rotation and move one of the #4’s to another team. Huge upside
