    I know it’s been said before but those of us that wanted to trade the big three this off-season aren’t looking high and mighty, but we’re certainly in the right.

    I’m not ready to write off the cardinals, but the balanced schedule benefits us and has exposed them. They can’t win offensive battles against the big boys on the coasts like they could in the central. And as we saw last night, great pitching doesn’t care who we play.

    Why? The balanced schedule is killing these mediocre and bad teams in this division. I think the cardinals are being exposed the most. Unfortunately this may mean we don’t trade Burnes because it’ll be almost impossible to fall out of the division race IMO

    I feel like year after year, 3-4 scrubs on the giants have an OPS higher than nearly every player on the brewers. weren’t we supposed to copy their hitting facility?

    each year we acquire guys who should kill soft tossing lefties and each year the same thing happens. I feel like we could bring back Braun/weeks/hardy/hart in their prime and they’d struggle too.

    This only means he’ll have a 1.800 OPS against LHP going forward because righties hit lefties regardless of what the splits say. 😁

    At this point the more surprising non trade would be one of frelick, Mitchell and Wiemer IMO. we have what the blue jays want in a left hitting outfielder and pitching. They have the catching we want. So naturally it won’t happen ?

    This is quite possibly the best way they can acquire a true 3/4 hitter for a year. They can’t pay judge and he’s the only free agent that can be that guy. Trades? Sure they could find a few 3/4 hitters trading burnes and woodruff. I see this as their best shot at a cleanup hitter without going into a rebuild. Everyone clamoring to “go for it” but then they shuffle the roster and bring in a guy with a strong possibility to succeed and we want more?

    Work ethic for winker will certainly be solved by the fact that he’s a free agent after this season. I love this trade, amazing they gave up on winker already
