  1. Can anyone post The direct quote that states he’s going to Be a starter from the team and this is just temporary? Also, if Hader works on his changeup I’m sure They’ll give him The chance to start should he want to next Year
  2. CC doesn’t get the blame for “not seeing it coming”. He gets the blame for having a fresh bullpen and leaving a guy in after it’s obvious he doesn’t have it.
  3. From what I've read the Cubs have an almost historically bad minor league system. If they can land de Grom we should be able to land the whole Astros team
  4. Arcia's line looks good... hopefully he has completely changed his stance though. The whole constantly off-balance, huge leg lift, loopy swing wouldn't work for the best of the best. Ridiculous. I doubt we see Santana again. I think it sucks, but he didn't perform. Would've been nice to get the usual trade value for a pre-arby, .270/ 30 hr guy last off season.
  5. Very glad we didn't pay this price after the last week. I'd still give up a good amount for Realmuto since that drastically improves us this season as well as the next two. Outside of that, I don't see much point of getting any rentals. It's a year where we need to get guys healthy again and perhaps we sneak in. As few admitted before this disaster of a series in Pittsburgh we're simply not there yet, so let's get our homegrown stars in the rotation and Hiura/Ray on board and then go "all in".
  6. I’d almost guarantee carpenter bullies his son on a daily basis, after witnessing his pathetic demeanor on the field.
  7. I’m so sorry I missed the game. I guess we wait for football now, no? Even though I much prefer baseball.
  8. That’s why I think Stearns will do something during the ASB. or, maybe he shouldn't... I certainly wouldn't go for Machado at this point. Guys that are locked up Realmuto can still help a ton now and in the future.
  9. It looks more and more like last season was a fluke. So many strikeouts and weak grounders. If he's truly hurt, DL him and start dealing. I mean, shaw is basically mirroring his 2017 production if you factor in 1 hot week between now and the end of the season. Not sure if you are expecting him to be better than he was last year I suppose I just expected more than a solo home run once a series. It's not his fault he's thrown in the cleanup role, I suppose. Gotta find better hitters at the other positions.

  11. I'm not sure they have enough bodies to sit two of those guys...we only have what, 3.5 outfielders if you consider Perez that .5?
  12. Yikes. I’m off work with back spasms and may not even watch with that lineup.
  13. This is why there’s “no luv 4 da crw “ as the one topic suggested
  14. Wow, I didn't realize that many quality prospects needed protection this year. Yes, they almost have to make at least one large trade, or risk simply losing multiple B prospects.
  15. Phillips continues to lower his worth. I'd imagine some of that has to do with him thinking he had a spot on the big league club this year. Medeiros looks like his stock is going up at least.... so strange that overall the pitching is succeeding and the hitting is flopping. Has that happened in the history of our minor leagues?
  16. It’s really tough to enjoy watching the crew right now. It feels like we’re two hitters away, at least
  17. To start the game we're tied at 0-0 so technically Hader isn't available.
  18. Without Jesus, we literally cannot score against this terrible team. Stop making Stearns desperate guys
  19. Great time to drop a series to the worst team in the NL through what seems to be a lack of concentration and energy.
  20. Shaw has left a lot to be desired. Lots of errors lately and a couple solo shots.
  21. I think the general consensus on Ray was that of a "B" prospect before the season. I sure hope we don't trade him as a secondary piece. How good is he in the outfield?
  22. I think bottom line is just not a good thing to struggle against the crappy teams, when their best hitter is out especially. Jesus can't hit 2hr every night and the bullpen can't mop up 4/5 innings scoreless a night. Deeper starts, more hitting.
  23. Anderson is concerning, he's been mediocre at best the whole year. It's not a good year to need a starting pitcher at the break. I wouldn't worry about Hader, he just needs consistent work- not a week off at a time.
