Hopefully this is why he's looked lost at the plate most of the season. Gotta get some one other than Yelich/Cain/Jesus going. Give Shaw as much time as he needs.

When was the last time Shaw hit one out? He's been MIA most of the year aside from the AZ/CO road trip.

Is this shutout 11? Stay tuned! Sure would be nice if we could develop one good pitcher for every 10 the cardinals have. Even if they are arrogant and can't explain things to their sons.

One unearned run. Against a pitching staff second worst in the majors in ERA I'm still wondering how you add two all-stars to your offense and continue to just hit a bunch of solo home runs once and awhile.

I think when you know your starting pitching is average at best, and your hitting is wildly inconsistent, staying ahead of the cubs and cardinals isn't gonna last long. Oh well. Hopefully some of the guys figure something out soon.

I am Braun has .261 BABIP, far below his .329 career rate. He also has 22.2% line drive rate, highest of his career. Yet is batting .232 with .713 OPS. That's all well and good, but most of his Ab's have suggested he doesn't have it anymore. I've never seen him have just negative facial expressions just waiving at pitches going by like he has this year. Him starting and playing hurt 95% of the time is certainly hurting Santana's production. I think most of us care about results rather than advanced metrics.

It would be nice if once and awhile we didn't have to have the bullpen come in during the 5th or 6th inning. Eventually, this bullpen will break and the last couple games it looks like it's happening.

Can anyone shed some Light on guerra's stuff for me? Is he legit? Haven't seen him pitch yet and decided to take a break from the minor league stats and trade rumors. Thanks in advance

Wow I don't imagine he'll be back next year at all. What a bag of garbage. It's nobody's fault but his own he was only the second worst pitcher in baseball this year. Well, and maybe lohse's since he bested him.

that matt garza.... so hot right now! I don't care how much money he is owed, he needs to go and davies needs to step into the rotation for the rest of the year. I'm sure garza will say "man i was unlucky" or "I felt good out there" just like every lohse start. Shut up guys, you're terrible. Please get off our team.

wish list for next year; a pitching coach that actually does somethiing. I can't remember the last time we had a coach that appeared to make an impact with our pitchers.
