  1. Got a hockey related TTM question... Would it be worth it to send a puck to see if I can get Gretzky to sign it at the Coyotes address? Thanks in advance.
  2. Doug has always been willing to give a minor leaguer a chance to hook on elsewhere if the player had a better path to the majors and it didn't hurt the Brewers organization -too- much. I think this was one of those situations. Still, I would have taken him back too.
  3. Luis Martinez.
  4. I've got an extra Bill Hall Snappers if you'd want to do that trade straight up.
  5. I was able to get Jeffress to sign a ball for me on Thursday. He wouldn't sign on the sweetspot because he's got a contract w/PCM Sports and because his agent, "agent39", was 2 feet away when I asked him. His agent asked me if JJ at least gave me his real signature instead of just "J J" like he apparently does sometimes. I also got Lawrie after the scrimmage. He saw me just hanging out by the dugout eyeing me the entire game as the crowd dwindled and dwindled. He signed for a couple people, but insisted on personalizing it to me. Probably thought I'd sell it, but I actually don't mind getting a few things personalized every now and then. Very nice guy. Was also able to get Rottino to sign his game-used #8 jersey from his rookie year for me as well. Won't see too many of those jerseys around anymore!
  6. I got to meet our own agent39 today. It was nice to talk with you today Josh! I wish you and half of the Brewers minor league system that you represent the best of luck. I was able to get a few autographs that I've been longing to get... Jeremy Jeffress, Brent Brewer, and Brett Lawrie during a 10 inning simulated game. Both Brewer & Lawrie each made a couple of sparkling defensive plays in the field. Jeffress looked like a man amongst boys out there. It's hard not to be excited about that kid. I was also able to get Rottino to sign his game-used jersey from his 2006 rookie year. Great day all around!
  7. Can you throw my name in the ring for the Weeks bobblehead? Gracias!
  8. My dad ansI drove from WI Sunday night with astop over in Oklahoma City on Monday. We got here at noon on Tuesday. We went to the new facility at Camelback Ranch for the white sox game, very nice. A lot of people were buzzing about manny making his debut for the dodgers there tommorrow. I will be at the padres game on thursday wearing a green batting practice jersey if anyone wants to say hi.
  9. I personally can't stand his shtick. In fact, I have him on my list of actors that I will absolutely refuse to watch along w/Brendan Frasier and Keeanu Reeves. Reading this thread definitely reaffirmed my thoughts about how this show would start out.
  10. If that's a full size LS bat, I'd gladly take that off your hands for $20. I'm heading down to AZ on Sunday and was looking to pick up a blank LS bat for signatures. If it's still available, let me know.
  11. Yeah, we had a discussion about this about a year ago. I think it was in the "show off your collections" thread. I've got a collection of about 30-40 various bats, the vast majority are the Big Stick variety w/a couple Louisville Sluggers. I have 2 or 3 game used bats, and then a few un-used game model bats that are signed by said player - Molitor, Yount, and Braun. Those are actually my favorite, but are so expensive and hard to come by that it's not worth the hassle in my opinion. I like the non game used bats because I feel they look better - the autograph stands out more since the finish on the bat is glossy. But like everyone's previously said, it's all a matter of personal opinion.
  12. Is it the 1st or 2nd Generation?
  13. I might be interested in the set of "old timers", but didn't think you'd want to break them up and sell them individually. Plus I have no clue what they're worth either.
  14. I was wondering if anyone here collects these things. I've been thinking about collecting a few of them here and there, but I have a feeling I'd end up trying to get every single one ever produced, just like bobbleheads. Are these readily available? I've seen a few on ebay, but never followed them too closely. What is their true value at this point? Most of the ones I've seen have sold for $10 or so, are there any that are worth a lot more than that? If anyone has any that they'd be willing to part with, let me know. Thanks.
  15. I'm pretty sure it was Eyre who drove his camper to spring training last year. I just thinking about that too. As for paying mortgages w/credit cards, I have the option of paying mine w/any of my credit cards that I have w/the same financial institution. Which kind of makes sense from their standpoint if you think about it.
  16. Can someone tell me who the spring training non-roster invites are for the Brewers this year? I can't seem to find a list of them anywhere. Thanks in advance!
  17. Word has it that XM / Sirius will be filing for bankruptcy soon, so the satellite radio subscription might be in question.
  18. I've got an extra Mike Cameron on an OMLB in blue ink that I'd trade for the Laporta ball if you're interested. I'd throw a couple bucks your way too if you want. Let me know, I've actually been looking to get a Laporta signed ball...
  19. I went to the Ron Dayne Signing today at Legends.... it was the first public signing tthat I've ever attended, and it went surprisingly well. I've read various complaints about how their signings on the board, as well as positive mentions as well. Not knowing what to expect when I walked in, I was a bit overwhelmed. But I was in and out in less than an hour. My only regret is that I didn't get a picturee with the man. I've apparently become decent friends with the owners of LOTF, and he was willing to get me a couple free inscriptions on my items which I really appreciated. I ended up with the Goralski Dayne litho signed and an official UW gameday football signed by Ron in gold. The both look really sweet. I also walked out of there with a signed Ben Sheets 11x14 framed photo in his throwback Braves uni for $70, which I've had my eye on for over a yearl All in all, a very good day for my collection!
  20. I just heard that from Oak Creek south to the border, we're supposed to be getting 6-8 inches in lake effect. Just terrific. Please tell me that my parents are indeed incorrect, please!
  21. Thanks for the various opinions guys. The ball is an official Spaulding baseball. I don't think the leagues had switched to Rawlings baseballs at that point yet, but I could be wrong. The signatures are still really clear and in blue ballpoint ink. Here are the signatures on the ball: Hank Aaron Robin Yount Harvey Kuehn George Scott Don Money Del Crandall Sixto Lezcano Gorman Thomas Jerry Augustine Pete Broberg Bill Castro Jim Colburn Lafeyette Currence Tom hausman Tom Murphy Ed S[rague Charlie Moore Darrell Porter Tommy Bianco Pedro garcia Jack Lind Bob Sheldon Mike Hegan Bobby Mitchell Bill Sharp Joe Nossek
  22. I have the opportunity to purchase a Brewers team signed baseball that looks to be in fairly good shape. Autographs include both Robin Yount, Hank Aaron, Jim Slaton and Sixto Lezcano. I was wondering if some of the more experienced collectors might be able to give me an estimate as to what the ball might be worth. It looks like there are about 24 signatures, if not more on the ball. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  23. Waukesha Sportscards is having Jim Slaton for a private signing on April 14th.
