    why are we counting Narveson out? he had rotator-cuff surgery, which from my understanding, isnt career ending at all. he was a pretty effective #4/5 guy last season, I dont see why he wouldnt factor in to the team moving forward, especially with 2 more years of control. A rotation of Greinke/Gallardo/Narveson/Fiers/Estrada would be decent, as thats what we've had here for the last month as it is.

    If that second number is true, the Brewers did everything they could (and then some) to sign him and if he turns that down, thats it. That's way more than just window dressing. I concur

    per MLB Traderumors.com July 20th: The Brewers offered Greinke a five-year deal worth $100MM-plus sometime in the past few weeks, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports. However, there's no indication the right-hander will sign quickly. One person told Heyman the proposed extension was worth close to $112.5MM -- Matt Cain territory.

    also... if he signs before August 6th, I will buy a Greinke jersey at Miller Park when I visit. he might be my favorite player next to Braun on this team right now. I loved following him in KC, was so stoked he was traded to MIL, and if he stays for 5 years, i'll be so happy

    Brewers have won 4 of 5 series in July (if you consider the 1 W vs AZ on July 1 in that series win apart of july series wins), splitting the only other series 2-2 against Miami. I BELIEVE!!! Homer Bailey has a 5.12 ERA at home this season (0-2 vs MIL this year, 10 ER in 7.2 IP) Bronson Arroyoyo has a 4.44 ERA at home this season (1-0 vs MIL this year, 4 ER in 14.1 IP) Johnny Ceuto has a 2.03 ERA at home this season (0-0 vs MIL this year, 0 ER in 7 IP)

    I alkso want to point out that the month of august has the brewers playing 10 games against teams over .500. 3 vs STL, 3 vs CIN, and 4 vs PIT. the rest, all under .500. 18 games, with 7 of them against the Cubs and 4 against Houston, both teams who could be empty of talent by then.
