  1. This was a good read. Thanks for sharing that.
  2. Do you want a lousy QB in any situation? It usually helps to have that position be good.
  3. Why would Love be compared to a running QB? He wasn’t that in college. Rarely did he move the chains with his legs.
  4. Those players get profiled into players types just like all players do. They get compared. The guys we drafted may not end up being Kittle and Henry but those are the types they drafted and I’m sure those are the types they hope these players to be. Just like any other draft. It just hasn’t fit a lot of fans ideas of where this team should head. Fine.
  5. Isn't our HOF QB one of the best out of the pocket and at play action? Maybe the tailoring is for Rodgers too. He's not 26-year old Rogers, he's 36-year old Rodgers that needs some assistance these days. I am hoping this change allows him to continue to take advantage of what he does do well. I don't think spread em out 4-wide is the way to go with him anymore. He will eventually get killed and we don't possess the ball long enough for our defense to do its thing.
  6. They ran the ball (2nd in the league in attempts) against everyone. They were 29th in the league in passing attempts a year ago. It is interesting to see how much more efficient SF was than us in the passing game considering we have Rodgers they have Jimmy. They ended up throwing for more yards per attempt, more yards overall, and more touchdowns even though we were about the middle of the pack in attempts.
  7. Got a WR in Michigan State WR Darrell Stewart although I think they are pretty set in that department already.
  8. He's headed to Carolina.
  9. Don’t forget about this guy! We are set at that position. Is Ryan Grant still with us? I completely forgot we signed him last year. I'm not sure anyone ever even knew. I don’t see him listed on the salaries list.
  10. Don’t forget about this guy! We are set at that position.
  11. Found this list on 247Sports: Montreal DB Marc-Antoine Dequoy Utah State DE Tipa Galeai Florida State CB Stanford Samuels North Dakota State OL Zack Johnson Memphis RB Patrick Taylor Jr. Oklahoma S Will Sunderland Jr. UCLA LB Krys Barnes Michigan State WR Darrell Stewart Rutgers DE Willington Previlon Prairie View TE/FB Jordan Jones Baylor S Henry Black
  12. I don’t think that it should be in blue. He really doesn’t trust WRs. It’s an issue of his.
  13. All three 6th round picks. Very nice!
  14. Obviously they feel they addressed the need of WR enough with signing Funchess and riding the other guys they already have on the roster. It is going to be a different offense moving forward. It intrigues me, to say the least.
  15. Yep ... run on receivers going on now. I'm going to guess Donovan Peoples-Jones or Trey Adams. Adams would be really good value here. No thanks. (Adams) Peoples-Jones seems like he might be a fit though.
  16. If they wanted to jump into the 4th, they could. They have plenty of picks to trade.
  17. Ugh. I get that Williams is a little older and expensive, but it isn't as if the Packers don't currently have a massive hole at right tackle. Williams nixed the trade to Minnesota so you wonder if it just had to be the right fit for him to be moved. They mentioned he was drafted while Shannahan was in DC.
  18. San Fran getting Trent Williams to add to their already good offensive line. They gave up this year's 5th round pick and next year's 3rd round pick to get the deal done.
  19. That sixth round will hopefully bring us some depth to that offensive line.
  20. The more I have scoured the internet for things about Josiah Deguara, the more I love the pick. He is going to be a fun one to fit into the offense. Like Gutekunst commented on where Josiah Deguara can play at the next level: "Everywhere, quite frankly." And after watching highlights, even one of him blocking Chase Young solo. If you're bored today, here is an article on him.
  21. If Gute hasn’t proved himself, why don’t we give him more than 1.5 drafts to do so? Drafts are hard to look back at within a year. Most take a few years to truly grade. And I get discussing draft picks but I don’t get questioning Gute when there’s nothing to really look at yet to prove one way or another that his drafts are great, good, bad, or ugly.
  22. RB: 1. Jones 2. Dillon 3. Williams H-Back: 1. Deguara WR: 1. Adams 2. Funches 3. Lazard 4. Kumerow/MVS/St. Brown 5. Day 3 Draft Pick *maybe TE: 1. Sternberger 2. Lewis 3. Tonyan
  23. I can’t remember the last time I’ve ever been this intrigued into what GB is planning on doing and shifting to. That’s my takeaway. I’m locked in and excited to see where all this goes (good or bad).
  24. This is a big reason I laughed. I figured you would have known he’s untradeable. Just a lot of overreacting all over the place in Packer world and people buying into those 13 wins a season ago pretty hard.
  25. No, I actually was just seriously spitballing it. I'm not afraid to debate unconventional strategies that may seem extreme if the long-term payoff is possible. I do realize it has very little chance of happening, but I don't mind discussing hypotheticals that seem unlikely. I'm sure the chance of Brett Favre being traded sounded nuts to most back in 2005. But if you'd rather just roll out the emojis and laugh and tell me what you think I'm doing rather than productively respond to the question, that's fine. You do you. I guess I should’ve just responded a productive “yes” to your original post and you wouldn’t be all twisted up right now.
