  1. JBJ- all you have to do is put together a 2 month stretch of competent at bats and people won’t give a damn that you’ve absolutely stunk this year.
  2. Marcos Diplan throwing the well out of the pen for the Orioles. He was a part of the Yovani Gallardo trade and is only 24.
  3. Either way it was a joke and a reference to Healy a year ago.
  4. Hosmer ties with with a bomb. Reds pen is going to be their Achilles Heel, regardless of how good they looked against the Brewers. Probably not enough of an Achilles Heel to keep them behind the Brewers. I wouldn’t call the Reds a lesser team. Their recent performances suggest that their pitching is rounding into shape after an awful start, and they have a potent lineup. They figure to be in the division race until the end and I’m not sure you can say that about the Brewers. Just a few of the receipts on your weird obsession with the Reds and them being better than the Brewers. You’ve now morphed many of these bad takes into your present argument than the division isn’t mathematically settled. Anyone can search your posts and see many of the Reds are better takes in July when you tried to be Nostradamus.
  5. Yelich - double Narvaez - RBI single Tellez - walk All against a lefty. Really nice to see.
  6. Man, I’m already sleepy and it’s not game time. I hate West Coast games.
  7. This guy will be batting cleanup for us in the playoffs.
  8. He was the guy I wanted Chicago to shell out a lot of money for. It would’ve been perfect.
  9. What I’m confused on is why the league leading Giants aren’t as scary? Is name recognition the reason?
  10. He’s been on the Reds bandwagon since the AS break. He’s just branding it differently these days. It’ll soon be over and many of his novels about it will go by the wayside.
  11. Yeah, the Brewers are a really good team and just continue to prove that to most.
  12. Don't trade away any of our pitching. It is the reason we are winning. Keep pitching. Win games. We will be just fine offensively.
  13. It doesn't really matter but I checked and Rodgers had a 101.1 passing rating in preseason year 2, he was sacked 9 times. Probably a mix of good and bad in there just like Love. The reviews I am reading this morning are pretty positive on Love, mostly saying he just needs to clean up the mistakes under pressure. I had just never seen him play until this preseason and the bad decisions are probably effecting my opinion more than they should. The reviews note that those problems do go back to college though, its certainly a concern. Link
  14. The Reds were supposed to sweep the Marlins. We might have been misinformed. Were we also misinformed about the Brewers winning a series in Minnesota? I know it must be killing you to see the Brewers continue to look like they’re gonna hold off the Reds for this tight divisional race but there is still plenty of room back on the Brewers bandwagon anytime you want to jump back on.
  15. Comparing Love to 3-time MVP Aaron Rodgers is foolish. But please go compare Rodgers game at year 2 to Love. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the fact that Love might look better or as good so far. And that’s with a complete lost season for Love. And no, I’m not saying he is or will be better. Just a little perspective.
  16. I totally agree on the offense (the Ravens are paying for it now) On the defensive side, I don't love the idea of going into the season with very few reps with a new DC in a new system. I think that’s the benefit of returning your intact top offense. There might be some parts in the first few games that are frustrating but if the new DC is worth a damn, he will continue to make adjustments.
  17. Cain, Pina, and somewhat Urias. You’re the problem. Your job is to mash lefties and you just stink. More so Cain and Pina. You stink.
  18. I like the approach to the preseason. The results don't matter one bit. I'm sure they are looking at certain things in certain situations and that's about it.
  19. All depends if you guy in on his new healthy ways. He could be this type of player for a few more years. Or he could go back to being a bit lazy and out of shape and being just okay.
  20. I mean, he should have been called out the pitch before.
  21. He’s been awesome. Might be my favorite catcher the Crew has ever had.
