The patience Grandal has is the patience Cain had a year ago. Would’ve been great to have both doing it this season. Yeli would’ve had 150 RBI’s.

I know it was a joke but Villar will score 100 runs on a bad team. He’s stolen 33 bases and been thrown out 8. Has had 30 doubles, 4 triples and 21 dingers in route to a 4+ WAR season. What an absolute whiff on our front office and CC last year to trade this guy for what they did.

Villar hit his 21st dinger of the season tonight which also helped set a new record for the most total home runs in season by the entire MLB.

3-year deal for Grandal? Count me out. He caught a ton this year. I’d be happy with one more year out of him. If he wants that type of security, I’d let him try the open market.

They have a mutual option for $16M with a $2.25M buyout. So it probably really comes down to whether Grandal wants that deal or not. I agree and I think the fan base would absolutely love if he’s was back with that deal.

I am in the minority but I hope we keep Grandal in 2020. Sometimes you get what you pay for. I don’t think you’re in the minority if it comes at the right cost.
