  1. Nice work there Davies. Hopefully we can get one more out of him tonight. 4/2 seems to be a nice night from our starters.
  2. I think this is somewhat expected, he isn't healthy yet. There is just no logistical reason to keep him on the IL. I agree. It makes total sense. Never know with an emergency either. Btw, you see that walk?!? #RyanBraunForever
  3. Last 28 Days: .298/.364/.491/.855 He will be fine. Battled through a back injury. I know you pounce on him anytime he’s in a rough stretch but he was scalding hot since the break and wasn’t going to keep that pace. Just calling it like I see it. Yes he had a fantastic August, not so much since Hiura and Moose left the lineup. We're not going to finish this run if all that Yelich offense isn't made up somewhere. If he's hurt and the back injury is affecting him perhaps he should get some rest for Gamel against RHP until fully healthy. Well maybe he’s feeling better now since he’s starting tonight? I don’t know. Just quick to jump on him so like you said, I call it as I see it.

  5. Big game tonight. It'd be good for this team to come out punching in this one to get some momentum back from the news of losing Yelich. It would be good mentally for our hitters to wallop Lopez tonight and continue beating up on a team that we should be beating.
  6. Why on Earth would anyone want to protect a draft pick position when they are one game out of the playoffs with 19 to go? They aren't going to move up significantly in the draft either way. The odds of getting a significantly better player with the 18th pick vs the 25th is less than the odds of this team making a deep playoff run even with Yelich out. Why on earth would someone not want to make the postseason? A franchise that is starved of postseason appearances and a fan doesn't want to get in because he doesn't believe in the roster? Pish posh.
  7. I think we should ban the WR position until they can figure their crap out.
  8. Time for Braun to gummy up and Cain to hit the fountain of youth. Those two need to get going and Grisham needs to hold his own. Sprinkle in Gamel with some clutchness and we are playoff bound. It will really help to get Moose back. I don't know if Hiura will make it back very quickly as hammies are always a tough one. Either way, like others have mentioned, this team needs to rally around this and take care of business against lesser teams.
  9. You're all heart. Unless he turns it around soon those millions will be history. Plus his struggles are doing us no favors. Those millions is money he’s making no matter what.
  10. Travis Shaw is making over $4M. I don’t feel sorry for him one bit. I just wish he’d relax and play some ball.
  11. In August sure I agree but it's like a 50 man pen right now. With the hard contact he's giving up, the walks and his spot coming up there's no reason to keep him out there. He wasn't fooling anyone and benefited from facing a weak lineup. I just think this pen runs out of gas if they keep down this road. They have solid pieces in there but only one horse. Would have liked to see another inning or two from Anderson tonight.
  12. Anderson has thrown 64 pitches through 4. Yanking him only over works and already taxed pen. Anderson has also not pitched bad tonight. Starters are going to give up runs. It’s part of the game.
