I get watching people go nuts for "stupid things" but sending down literally your best hitter is not stupid, its career suicide. That would indeed be a very stupid thing. I'd rather see the Brewers win over anything related to people's reactions. It’s baseball. It’s entertainment. The Brewers haven’t been doing much winning lately. Might as well go WWE version if this ship isn’t righted.

Moustakas is their second best hitter and an All Star. Shaw hit under .175 for the first three months of the season before being optioned to the minors, but yeah interchangeable.... 9 million, 6 million it still meaningless because no contender on the surface are in that dire of a need for a catcher, and taking on a rental player who is the 4th highest paid catcher kind of smells like the return would be minimal Moustakas put together a very nice first half. I would bet a regression to his career averages is near. I would also bet on Shaw rebounding to be more of the player he has been too. Like I said, I don’t believe the drop off would be that severe that you don’t take a look at offers. In regards to Grandal, there are plenty of contenders that he would be an upgrade for. Now, moving catchers is different but I’m sure if made available, they could find a fit. $6 mil isn’t much, even if they Brewers kicked in a couple. Now, do I think it’ll happen? No. Because they won’t want to anger fans after telling them they’re “going for it”. But most fans are pretty clueless in regards to the situation the Brewers are in.

I'm literally going to be worried about you and your mental health if they end up buying..especially buying big. You’re becoming the next joke around here and you don’t even realize it. If they buy, they buy.. but I don’t think it’s the smart play. Honestly, the way your cry on these message boards, we should probably check in with you in August 1st and we haven’t Hiura traded for [sarcasm]elite[/sarcasm] pitching.

If you trade Moose, you just play Shaw. It’s not going to be much of a drop off. And a team taking on Grandal would pay him about $6M.

You rather have Saladino coming off the bench as a pinch hitter? Maybe there is a move to be made but it doesn’t make sense to wait two games to make this move. They have a roster spot to fill.

I mean if that was their intent, why not just wait until Sunday to call him up before the Oakland series?? They are facing two lefties against the Cubs..now makes ZERO sense, UNLESS there is something else going on that forces him to be in the lineup. Because they don’t need another SP right now so why not call up another bat that can help you score more runs?

Travis Shaw not in Missions lineup tonight. Will have to wait to see if he is at the park last tonight but it could make sense to call him back up as we won’t need another starter until Tuesday technically. -
And some of us are baffled that what you’ve watched the last 2-3 months hasn’t told you that this just might not be the team to go after it with. Being 2 games back, while nice, might as well be 10 with this team the way they’re playing right now. They might just not be very good. Realizing you have problems is usually the first step... Did ANYONE see coming what the Giants have done lately?? If you say you have, you are not being truthful. They aren't very good at all and yet, what have they done recently?? It happens ALL the time in baseball. What happens if the Brewers win say 5 or 6 in a row?? Can't say they won't, all it takes is a break here or there and boom..5 game winning streak. As positive as your “what if” is, there is a negative “what if” that goes along back at you. No one knows what will happen but this team hasn’t given a single indication to be taken seriously. If you’re a GM of a team you don’t live in the “what if” world. A lot of people just don’t see this team as a contender. I’m not really sure why you have such issues with that.

Colorado is a team I think should tear it down and tank. They have some really bad contracts and very little talent.
