  1. And Stearns was astute enough to pick him up well before any other team made their "big" acquisitions. DS didn't wait, he made it happen. The other teams are just catching up. Timing is everything. He was scuffling and they had his replacement. It worked to our benefit and I don’t feel a bit bad about it. Only thing better is if it was from a large market team.
  2. The two relief pitchers have done nothing. Literally haven’t shown up. Bunch of jerks not being there for their teammates.
  3. (8) Hader Williams Curtiss Boxberger Suter Cousins Norris Lauer (5) Woody Burnes Peralta Anderson Houser
  4. I think seeing Cain come back and look good, Rowdy smashing, and Urias looking good at 3B told Stearns that the one Escobar acquisition would be good enough. I think in the end he will be right but time will tell.
  5. The silent assassin strikes again. I love it!
  6. Haha, yes, this exactly.
  7. If Bryant doesn’t get traded, I feel for him. All his core off to playoff chases and he’s stuck on a terrible team.
  8. I wish every deadline was this way. Teams that suck, sell away.
  9. Still have 80 minutes. Bryant is as good as gone. Baez probably, too. Other smaller pieces like Davies as well. Come tonight, the Cubs roster is going to look Nashville Sounds-like. As it should. Never halfass the rebuild. Get as many pieces as you can and then sign whoever in the off-season.
  10. Rowdy will fix that for ya.
  11. I can’t believe they haven’t unloaded Baez and Bryant.
  12. Except Pomeranz sucked as a starter and then improved when he went to the pen. Norris sucked in the bullpen and we are...keeping him in the bullpen. Do we know he won’t be a starter or a piggyback type? I haven’t seen anything said yet.
  13. LOL No...Here's the thing guys..I look at the postseason and the Padres and Dodgers specifically and I ask myself do the Brewers legitimately have enough to compete with them in a 7 game series, without pretty much needing everything to go right. The answer to that is no. Yes, there is ALWAYS luck involved, and the Brewers aren't going to come close to the talent the Dodgers have, but what I would like to see is for them to try to eliminate the need for absolutely every single thing to have to go right. In order to do that they need more pieces. The bigger the better. You aren't going to completely eliminate the "luck" factor, but I do believe you can at least try to minimize it. I could somewhat get behind this philosophy of all organizations were equal and had the same playing field. This isn’t the NFL. There is a real difference in how you have to build a team if you are the Brewers versus being an LA/NY team.
  14. I love the fans that don't allow ANY moves to be made unless they equal another level of move by another team. I should’ve went blue. I was mocking some earlier posts when that went down.
  15. It’s just good to see Stearns finally wake up and answer the Scherzer to the Dodgers move.
  16. He’s been our Braun I thought we needed a month ago or so. I’ve enjoyed it and hope he continues. Always great to home brew guys.
  17. That would kill our outfield. No thanks at this time... Say it was in a package for Bryant. That would pair up nicely for the Brewers. I’m not saying I want to rid ourselves of him but fearful this will be the highest he will ever be.
