  1. Braun and him together would be kind of a cool thing.
  2. I don't think Murphy is the worst option we could do but his age and terrible defense scare me away from him a bit.
  3. Negative WAR guy entering his age 34 season. The stat line would be nice to add in the order but I dont know if we want to keep adding older players to the lineup.
  4. This. If that other idiot we cut got ejected for what he did then so should 45. The NFL is all over the place with just about all of their rules. At least if they were consistent with their stupidity, I could understand it a little bit.
  5. The Brewers aren’t fearful of spending money. They just don’t have as much to spend as those teams you mentioned. I hope you get that if the Brewers choose the wrong large contract, it could cripple any of the progress they have made so far. So that means you don’t try? You can't really feel as though the Brewers don't "try", do you?
  6. For me, it is the value of the pick (trades) and the possibility of picking in the in the low 40's in the second round (again the value of it). That is something that Gutenkunst can do a lot with along with having the Saints first rounder.

  8. The biggest difference between the Cardinal Way and the Packer Way to me is that the Packers don’t try to police the on field stuff like the Cardinals do and they don’t get pissy with little things. The Packers way seems to be treating their employees in the best way they can. I can get behind that “way”.
  9. Without Stallone/Rocky, I won't have much interest in other Creed films. To be honest, the actor that plays Creed is pretty blah. I just haven't found myself liking him much. On the flipside, and I felt a little guilty about these thoughts, I found myself more drawn to Drago's son than Creed. Viktor Drago has obviously led a much more interesting and painful life that Adonis Creed. His character drew more emotion out of me than Creed, and I found myself feeling genuinely sorry for him.. That is all I can say without posting spoilers, so I'll let it go at that... I don't want to give away spoilers either but I know you are not alone in this thought.
  10. Can't speak for all but I would say a good chunk of people that watch it is for something to do. I know I turn on a bowl game that I couldn't name a single player on either team just because it is the time of year where not much else is actually on TV.
  11. It will really stink this upcoming year if Aguilar isn't good and Goldschmidt tears us apart. I wanted Paul badly in the middle of this lineup.
  12. From the reports out of Stallone, that was it for Rocky. I think the next film should center around his death myself. Kind of a homage to Mick dying in Rocky's 3rd movie, this would be Creed's third movie as well. Although I will say, the franchise without Rocky's dialogue might get lost in a hurry.
  13. Maybe there isn’t actually a problem? I don’t know why so many people are on Murphy or Rodgers here. They’ve made it clear that Gute will have input on the hire, and Rodgers won’t be involved in the process. Until they’ve proven that they’ve screwed those up, don’t they at least deserve the chance to let the process play out? I agree with you but to me, Murphy listing his resume is about as ridiculous as the "I'm a highly successful coach" rant.
  14. Braun can play LF, RF, 1B, [sarcasm]3B, 2B, SS[/sarcasm]
  15. Maybe it is Murphy's ego that is the problem?
  16. [sarcasm]Rodgers continues to be a coach killer.[/sarcasm]
  17. There are 8 teams each year that deserve a shot at it. Those that don't want a playoff expansion in college football but love the NFL, NBA, NCAA bball etc... I just don't understand.
  18. I’d hire Peyton Manning in an instant.
  19. I’m as big of an Arcia supporter around here but if you’re going into the season counting on his bat, it might be a long year. He might be better, I mean how could he not be, but a huge jump is probably a bit much to ask for.
  20. I think you can see if the philosophy fits with a QB without having them be a part of the hiring process. That would be a really bad precedent to set and an even worse look for Rodgers than he already looks like right now.
  21. OldSchoolSnapper, you're nailing it today. My thoughts exactly.
  22. This post is perfect. It fits all of what I felt last night and today.
