This is a very odd take on his quote as I’m pretty sure that’s not at all what he said. It’s Manny Machado. Only a truly naive person would think he would go for a package of spare parts. If we were to acquire him it would absolutely be for a big package. So when we don’t get him, it’s cool we didn’t want him anyhow lol. You’re talking as if 100% of the fan base wanted Machado no matter what it took and that is completely false. For myself and MANY others, if it took a large package (that’s what she said), we were good with moving in a other direction.

That was a terrific trade yes...He STOLE Yelich. However, we will never know, but let's say it came out that DS wasn't willing to include Woodruff, Peralta OR Burnes in the deal, and had he been willing to include any one of them, he would have gotten Machado...isn't that being negligent?? You can part with one of them. But you don’t know so hold your horses a bit on all the dissing Stearns stuff. It really makes you look foolish if you can’t tell already. It definitely isn’t a Machado or bust season.

How do we know they didn't? They may have put a strong offer out there from the beginning. I mean, we can't take much from what has/ has not been reported. I suppose we don’t but if they did than what the heck have the Orioles been doing because the price should/would have been better a month ago.

Bingo. We finally are where we want to be as an organization with arms and a lot of our fans want to use them for a rental. I’ll keep them all and hope we can churn out one hell of a rotation with these guys.

Ted Thompson won a championship too, and I don’t think anyone would accuse him of being aggressive... With Arodg as QB..he should have won more but his lack of agressiveness is what held him back.. and ironically enough what cost him his job And Wolf has Favre. Still not a good point.

I think it gets a bit over blown about MA being involved with things. For all we know he and Stearns have a great working relationship with a shared idea for this teams direction.

The idea is obviously super exciting and it’s hard not to get excited for a player of his caliber. But I’m really trying to stay grounded with the building of our franchise. The move just doesn’t make sense to me. Yelich-type move, I get it. Machado-type, I don’t.
