I think it’s somewhat funny people are all over Machado’s nards to play SS when he’s a defensive liability there. Two weeks ago we acquire Miller, who’s been awesome for us since the trade, and the world was going to end when he was talked about in playing shortstop.

The All Star break cuts the minimum DL stay nearly in half. I would bet that is a big reason he's on the DL since he won't be missing the full allotment of games. Well today is 1 and we have 8 games to go til the break, so that's 9, so he's pretty much missing a full DL stay. But point taken on that, wouldn't have mattered if he played Saturday or not. His injury is probably not of the DL type but they probably see this as a great time to get him rested and healed up for the playoff push. Very calculated move.

If he can’t play CF he refuses to play... lol. I agree with you. Don’t you think Yelich - Cain - Broxton would be a fantastic outfield?! Defensively of course. Offensively, no not great.

Pina was hurt? I did not know that. Good move DLing Braun with AS break coming up. Two weeks to get right. Very excited to see Nottingham hopefully win a job.

And teams shouldn’t because it is not smart to do so. Never has been which stuns me that a lot of fans want to see us back up the farm for him.

Max Scherzer would be the one pitcher I would think of moving Hiura for. That dude is the ultimate competitor and can put a team on his back.

We really don’t really know why those guys aren’t being used as much. Maybe they see this as a great opportunity to play the long game.

It’s probably not a popular opinion but I don’t care if we even have one player there. Rest up and let’s battle in the second half. The rosters should just be posted anyways. Game is meaningless. Rather watch the celebrity softball game after.

Just say no. Machado is a great player but I want no part in giving up top end prospects for two months of play. Stay the course Stearns. Keep doing what you have been and it’ll work.
