  1. My only judgement is that they haven't been very good so far. Yeah not disagreeing with that but I want to see these guys make 4-5 starts and then make adjustments accordingly if need be.
  2. Might want to wait a few times around the rotation before making too many judgements on the rotation.
  3. Need our offense to wake up now and get us back in this one.
  4. Any time he K’s is this going to be the typical response? He’s 1-2 with a nice defensive play today. Getting a bit ridiculous. Strikeouts are coming fast and furious. Just because he has a drag bunt today and a SEMI nice play today doesn't make it a non issue. If he puts together a run of a few weeks, then has a bad game? Probably won't say anything. Soooo.... let it be a couple of weeks then. It’s game four and he’s started two of them. I do love how you dismiss his good plays as if they’re nothing only to complain about his strikeout today. Kinda shows what Joey Meyer Bombs is talking about.
  5. Wasn’t it due to his injury that he got this game? Either way, he’s got to pitch better st home. Can’t hide him all year as he will have about equal starts at both.
  6. Giving up bombs to the opposing pitcher is always a fun thing.
  7. Any time he K’s is this going to be the typical response? He’s 1-2 with a nice defensive play today. Getting a bit ridiculous.
  8. I love that there’s a rule for this common sense situation that occurred. Kapler still should have been ejected though. Great find Timpep
  9. Thames can’t buy one. Hopefully they literature he’s been reading does the trick so he doesn’t go all mental and get in a funk.
  10. Tomas to AAA I think I wanted this guy at the time.
  11. I don’t find myself rooting against anyone individually. Teams, sure. But that has more to do with the Brewers. There are plenty of guys, even on rival teams I enjoy watching. Even guys that make mistakes, like a Tiger Woods, it is what it is. Still pulling for him on Sundays when he’s making the charge. It’s entertainment. Nothing more really.
  12. This is news to me. He's 'beloved' as an analyst?! OK. Yes, he's extremely popular, has taken on sort of the lovable silly uncle role in the booth. Shark Tank/Arod Corp, Fox Sports analyst, Barstool Sports.. dating JLo. Dudes reinvented himself Id say.
  13. So you can question the morals of someone but no one can question yours? Don't judge less you be judged by others. If you hate Braun, just say you hate Braun and be done with it. No, you can't question my morals just because I dislike Braun for lying and cheating. That's utterly ridiculous. You can't even be serious. Are you? Please tell me that was supposed to be blue font. He's a proven liar and cheater. What a ridiculous false equivalence. But you can judge others? Got it.
  14. The rest of your post was great too but this statement we can all get behind.
  15. We really need to move past this idea that if you don’t agree with someone that they’re trying to tell you what you should think or how one should behave. People can have differing opinions and share them without that being what the conversation turns to. The whole point of the thread was to figure out why many years later that some fans hold such hatred for a baseball player. Nothing more than that. Some of this feels more like Custers last stand.
  16. I hope that when Ueck passes, they create a hologram of him saying his iconic sayings.
  17. Both Votto and Tulo, two of the guys he supposedly called to get behind him with the anti Semitic remarks, came out and said the phone calls never happened. So if it wasn’t said to those guys, it’d be really interesting to know if it was ever said. I’d also love to see the list of players guys like who go after Braun. I’d almost guarantee there are questionable human beings on just about anyone’s list. But to each their own. In my profession, mistakes are a teaching tool. So far, it seems as though by all his charitable work, calling and reaching out to fans, and being a good clubhouse guy that he’s lived and learned. I can get behind that because not everyone does that.
  18. Don’t care that it’s not his job. Not one bit. Umpire realized how stupid the situation was and righted it. His only mistake was not tossing Kapler. Again, kudos. Common sense goes a long says sometimes.
  19. Kudos to the umpire for realizing the situation and not endangering a pitcher because of his stupid manager. Kapler should be fined a hefty amount and suspended for a few games.
  20. Because people hold athletes to different standards than normal everyday people. I find it hilarious now that Arod is so beloved as an analyst after all the hatred that guy got while playing.
  21. I’m moving this game and I’m loving this game thread.
