Hader just comes in and you know, does his job again. Love the kid. Will be fun to watch. Here is where the game will be lost and blamed on the pen but for the most part it's because our offense pretty much always stops scoring. No tack on runs. Nothing.

Perez batting 5th? We're gonna lose. Okay that's a bit dramatic but that's how I feel when I see him in the top half of the lineup. He's a bad hitter.

Maybe the pen would be a great fit for Garza. Let him throw hard for an inning and heat that sucker up a bit.

I'm over Perez. I can't handle his stat line for another full season. He just simply refuses to work a count and get on base more. Hopefully Stearns find someone else.

Calling this one. The Rockies will tack on with Torres out there and we may hit another solo shot. Disappointing start to a key road trip. Hope for better results tomorrow.

Amen. I can't wait for the first shocked look on a batter's face the first time a slow curve that lands near the dirt is called a strike because it crossed at the bottom of the zone even though it's just been called wrong for years. People say it's going to take a lot of nuance out of the game, but it's also going to add other nuances. Count me in on this one too. It would allow pitchers who have a lot of movement on their breaking balls to utilize them more effectively. That could open up a lot of room for different type of pitchers to be successful. As it is now it's almost impossible to be effective if your best pitch is anything but a changeup or fastball. This probably goes too far. I'd say a guy like Kershaw does pretty well with his slider. And there are plenty of examples out there too. Fastball-Changeup might just be the best combination if you can throw them. -
The leash cannot be longer. Others struggle and get demoted......quite a few actually this year. Villar plays regularly, leads off, fills in at center, and is treated like he is his 2016 version. Fact is, if he had an option, he isn't here. That is what I cannot get passed. You honestly want him gone, DFA'd? You want to see him a year for now being a productive player for one of the other MLB teams while we get absolutely nothing for him?

We are going to pick up a half game in the WC department. Braves batting around in the 7th. I hope the wheels fall off in Colorado too. And Arrenado just got smoked in the hand and being taken off by the trainer. Good time for him to take some time off.

Yes, I agree. Just like people complaining about the playing time or Kirk a year ago. It is an in game thread and can be easily scanned over if it is something that bothers you. It really isn't all that one sided either. People mention bad calls on both sides. It's that bad at times.
