  1. Any lead will feel like 10. Need to get out of this.
  2. Other than his pretty horrendous month of June, I don't understand the beef people are having with Thames. He must've spoiled a few with that hot start into thinking that was reality. OPS by Month: (OBP) April- 1.276 (.466) May- .791 (.375) June- .669 (.276) July- .915 (.375) I'm really surprised by that, looks like I stand corrected, it's pretty much been a horrendous June and nothing more. Just feels like he's been struggling since April. Can't really go wrong with Santana at #2 either, though. Given the way this offense is struggling I wouldn't be opposed to trying something different. Yeah I wouldn't mind Santana leading off either. I'll give Sogard a little bit but I don't see that magic coming back. Santana Thames Braun Shaw Pina/Bandy Sogard/Villar Phillips/Perez Arcia

  4. This forum is for Brewer fans, and on occasion, friendly fans of opposing teams. Why not post in the forum of the team that you're actually a fan of rather than continuing to pretend to be a Brewer fan? I'm a Brewers fan. Stop making up lies about me on all the different threads in the forum. I'm getting a bit tired of it. I think the feeling is mutual man. You've chosen your path of how you interact with others on these boards and the type of content in which you try to cram down our throats. Change or don't but don't complain when people call you out on it like your some victim.
  5. Unfortunately he'll do no such thing since doing so would forfeit the remainder of his contract. I'm afraid we are stuck with a part time Braun for the duration of his contract, a guy who will hit well enough when available but probably can only be counted on for 80 games or so a season . It is what it is and we have to make the best of it now but it's the giant red flag that caused many of us to want to ship him out to L.A. last August even if the return wasn't overwhelming. Nothing we can do with him now but be extremely cautious every year and try to make sure he's healthy and rested for any potential pennant races or playoff series. 80 is probably light. There's not need for him to play 162 games but it's asinine to not push him to the 120 mark each year. He's babied. It's gotten out of hand.
  6. Other than his numbers, why do you feel this way?
  7. What year are you in? 2011? Reminds me of the Braun + 30M for Bellinger+DeLeon type proposals from last year only in reverse. It'd be interesting to know what the Dodgers were offering. I'm in the camp that believes Bellinger could have been had and Stearns got greedy. Now they don't/won't need Braun so he better pull off all the bandaids and start playing like there's a pennant to be had.
  8. This team needs Braun. I'm a supporter but he's been flat out annoying. Get you behind in that damn lineup and start hitting. Either that or go away and enjoy your wife and kids. The offense runs through he and Shaw, not guys like Sogard. Tired of this nonesense. Play flipping ball already.
  9. 5 man bench. Means one less crappy bullpen guy CC is allowed to use.
  10. A career .642 OPS guy has a lot to live up to to a few of you. Wouldn't shock me if he never regains half of what he produced before being injured.
  11. Have you been watching all the blown leads this bullpen has had since the All star break?? Have you been watching how many runs have been scored? They haven't scored more than 3 runs in a week. The one time they had a lead late, Knebel blew it. Every other time the starter gave up a lead or a reliever came in when they game was already tied or likely to be tied given the situation when the starter was pulled. So because the offense has hit a dry spell for a week, we just ignore the bullpen and not upgrade it if there's a possible match out there? Solid plan. I'm sure Stearns is thinking exactly how you are...
  12. Well up until this season nothing about Romo has been mediocre. He is 34 so maybe the wheels have fallen off but this season is a definite outlier for him. Not saying he will turn it around but he's been a dominant pen guy for many times years. I'd take a flyer on him over Scahill, Torres, Wang, Webb, Peralta or any other piece of garbage we trot out of the pen these days.
  13. Just put Hader back in Colorado Springs already so I don't have to think at how horrible they have managed him. If he was a Cardinal, he would be leading them to a pennant.
  14. Broxton is a lot soul up there. Make the flipping move already Stearns.
  15. Getting Verlander with Wilson would be a heck of a trading season. It'd be a dynamic that would be hard to even know how much it would help. Verlander hasn't exactly been himself really.
  16. He's had a really tough year out in LA but he was just cut and only a year removed from being better than most of our pen. I think he's worth a look to see if Derek Johnson can right the ship with this guy.
  17. Okay, you've established your point of loving Sogard. It'll be interesting to see if he even comes close to producing what he was before we get too excited.
  18. Same fan base.... Not everyone
  19. Good things come in threes? Lol IDK. Interesting stat but this is a different group of guys so these stats don't mean a heck of a lot.
  20. lol that's funny. No they don't. Brewers have 1 more loss than the Cubs. I could give a damn about winning pct. Honestly, get lost man. Either figure it out around here or go join another board where your will be more suitable.
  21. Silly comparison. Cubs have now win 6 straight and have home games coming up. They now have Q. And will be getting Hendricks back soon. It's a completely different team. Silly? Give me a break. He compared a team using this year. Will it happen? Who knows? But to call that silly and be dismissive to another poster? Now that's silly.
  22. I'm okay with the steal. Took a perfect throw and tag to get him. Just happy to see him collect a couple hits today and hopefully continue moving forward and producing.
  23. Because Braun is having wrist issues and can't throw, apparently. Braun could swing and throw opposite handed and be better than Broxton right now. I'm not even sure this would be blue.
  24. Why leave Broxton in the game and not Braun? Broxton is trash right now and gives little hope to actually coming back in this game.
  25. It's what keeps him a bench player. His game has not improved in getting on base for it to warrant more playing time.
