There are no ties and there is no rule about a tie goes to the runner. If he was called safe on the field, chances are that call would've stood too.

I wish CC would put Domingo in the three hole and just leave him there until Braun is back. He's earned it.

I just don't get why a guy like Feliz, who is a hard thrower, wouldn't try to develop one like Jansen has.

I don't think anyone is disagreeing that Knebel is the better man for the closers role right now. But if Knebel does his job this Brewers team has two more wins in the past week and a guy like Feliz doesn't even have the opportunity to screw it up. Seeing how this division is right now, those two games might matter a lot. Knebel needs to do his damn job and get the last three outs of the ball game better than he has done recently.

Adam I agree with pretty much all of what you said. I just hope he can go on a run of nailing down saves. It will go a long way into him showing he can get those last three outs a little more consistently.

He shouldn't be removed as closer but it's not just one save. He is 4 of 7 in his opportunities. He's not really 4 of 7. He's 15 of 18 because of his 11 holds. Two of his three blown saves were one run games, today against the 2,3,4 hitters. The other was when je was thrown in a near impossible situation. Hes 4 of 6 since taking over the role. He's given up two bombs in the last weeks worth of games(5/26 and last night) to lose leads. Some will point to holds as the same thing but the last three outs are always the toughest. So far he hasn't been great at getting them. This needs to improve.

Watching Jansen toss his cutter past us for two innings got me thinking. Why don't more of these bullpen guys learn to throw it? We have Torres who does but why not a guy like Knebel who throws very hard? Or Feliz who can't keep his fastball in the park anyways.

Really? Knebel has been lights out for 2 months straight, and blows one save and you want to ditch him as the closer? That's kind of a knee jerk reaction, isn't it? He shouldn't be removed as closer but it's not just one save. He is 4 of 7 in his opportunities.

That's what happens when you are guessing. The pitch Arcia let go was the only time Jensen bust him down low and in. Can't guess up there.

Man, it must be just awesome to have a guy like Jensen to give the ball to. So dominant. Sucks to waste a great start by Jimmy. Hopefully the bats will come loose tomorrow.

Awesome play right there for Villar to start the 11th! Torres has his moments. May was pretty good to him.

With every player now trying to launch in 500ft we may see the K record broke.

Villar with 4 Ks and booted a double play. Aguilar 4 Ks and booted a routine foul pop. Hard to imagine worse days for either. The booted plays could have cost them the game already. At least we got out of it.
