He was smiling walking off the field. So that's a good sign. Boy, both Perez and Bandy have stung it today but right at the right fielder. Good approaches though.
Another nice inning from Anderson. Maybe it is the way they are tracking pitchers with the gun but Anderson seems to be throwing harder. Let's at least get one guy on base this inning and clear that pitcher.
Had a good approach, hit it well, but just on top of it and directly at someone. But yes, it stinks to not at least get a run. Making him throw 20 pitches was good, hopefully they can do that a few more times, and score.

Interesting lineup for the crew today. I like that they are not putting Broxton up the lineup which will hopefully take some pressure off and he can get rolling.
If TT picks a WR with our first pick, there might be an angry mob with pitch forks outside of Lambeau field that same day. I might be one of them. Now, if they add a WR in like the 5th round or later, I'm not sure many will care as he seems to have a pretty good judgement of WR's.
Homer reactions to big events can be great and have awesome passion behind them but being a homer in pretty much everything you say is another thing and can be completely annoying.
My buddy at work who is a die hard Sox fan said wait until July and you won't want Shaw anymore. I don't know, he looks pretty good to me. I guess we will find out.
These are Prince Fielder's game totals from 2006-2011 on the Brewers: 157, 158, 159, 162, 161, 162. Keon Broxton does not need any "rest" days at all. Injury sure, but 7 straight games and no days off is no big deal. Where is Fielder now?
Haven't you been vocal that you hate Milone because because he's just a journeyman with no future here? Nieuwenhuis is nothing more than the lineup version of Milone. He has no part of the future here and every AB he gets is one AB less of a sample size that we have to learn what we have with guys like Broxton and Santana. These young guys with a future here need regular, consistent playing time. Not to be jerked around after a slow start less than 10 ABs into the season. Kirk had 392 PAs last season which is insane for a career journeyman backup outfielder on a rebuilding club. He probably would have had 450 if not for the September injury. I have no quibbles with playing a vet. I hate watching Milone pitch. He's boring and does nothing well anymore, so why bother? This has nothing to do with that though. We can go back and forth on this but I am all for these younger guys getting days off. I don't buy the sample size stuff. We will see plenty of Broxton and Santana to know where or if they fit into the future. I actually see the complaints as rather silly. There's plenty of AB's to go around, might as well keep the bench guys going too, long season. I hope Arcia gets a few days off too. Sometimes you get more perspective from watching and allowing the game to slow down. Seemed to work pretty well at the end of the year last season.
...and what is the point of getting rid of Scooter, then adding another one? Agree but worse is that Scooter has been a much more productive hitter than Franklin so only explanation is they wanted to save a couple million. I'm okay with the move as Franklin did pretty well off the bench last year but sure seems like an admission they were hasty and cheap waiving Scooter. It couldn't be that Scooter is a two bagger only and this guy plays all around the diamond?
American baseball is serious so if he laughs at a dumb play, WE... notice I said WE, assume he doesn't care. It was a generalization for how WE have grown up watching, learning, playing the game. It had nothing to do with you personally so take a step back. It's well known how American baseball is a bunch of unwritten rules and policies that take the "fun" atmosphere away from baseball. If a guy plays loose, we assume the worst. It is simply not the case for a lot of guys. Oh and I called him a mental midget because he plays like it at times. That has nothing to do with what not caring nor what I said about that statement being so American.
.... and then laughing on the field about it. Fans will be a lot more patient with him if it doesn't looks like he's just being lazy, and doesn't care. That drew some boos yesterday. It'll also help when he starts hitting and stealing bases. This is so American. Because he laughed, we assume he doesn't care.
