Yeah if we could get an arm like Velasquez for Jeffress or Smith I'd be happy.
  2. pacopete4
Maybe we can lock up Hill as a long term solution at 3B?
  3. pacopete4
Maybe Garza never makes it back? Maybe he starts in the pen? Maybe a 6-man rotation? Just throwing stuff out there but Peralta is the guy right now doing his job that well.

    Fans are mostly stupid anyways.

'Only 23' might apply in general to a 23 year old in the big leagues, but with Zach you have to say "He's actually 23, honest." Here's a text from a Cardinals fan I coach with at the beginning of today's game: "This Davies kid must have just hit puberty"

Agreed. People like to pretend they live in a bubble and that they would never make a mistake. Braun obviously shouldn't have used what he used and he should've came clean when he was caught. That's hindsight. All you see from Braun now is a guy that went out and apologized to fans in multiple ways including calling some, made amends with the man who was thrown under the bus in the fiasco, and has continued to do wonderful community work. I call BS that the Brewers don't want to use him as a face of their franchise. He's everywhere again and he should be. On top of that you have a player who works his butt off to be one of the best players on the planet. Yesterday even though they were down 10-3 he hit a two bouncer to the SS and Braun hustled his butt off down the line and made it close. This while a plate appearance before ripping one down the line and hustling into second while grimacing. Proud to call him a Brewer and if the right deal isn't there I'm glad he'll continue to be one. And when it's all done, his statue should be right out in front of that stadium and welcomed to be around this team as much as he possible can. That's what a great organization does.

I'm okay with Perez starting if that means no Scooter. Can't believe I'm saying this but Hill is the superior player there. I hope someone is dumb enough to take Scooter off our hands.

Davies didn't get the memo that we have a rested/fresh pen! 8 innings of shutout ball against the Cards? He's my new favorite player!

Does Cleveland have what it takes to do a deal? There catcher stinks.

Braun in pain. Still smacks a double. Man can this guy just get healthy, please? So fun to watch play baseball.

Never really got a fair shake but also didn't take advantage of his opportunities.
  13. pacopete4
Well that could've been worse. Let's get on the bats boys.

Junior Guerra has been just fun to watch pitch. Love it!

David Stearns: Ryan Braun is ‘going to be a Brewer for a very long time”
  16. pacopete4
Just awesome. What a trade so far.
  17. pacopete4
Spot on. Use all the resources and our rebuild will go faster and be more sustainable.
  18. pacopete4
I hope they trade Braun for a bag of balls just to watch you lose your mind Lol naw, I'm actually on board with them trading him. I get the economics behind it. I'm on board with a rebuild also but I just can't stand the I hope we lose comments. I also think it's lousy because of the financial situation Milwaukee is in because of the way the MLB continues to operate. Milwaukee should have back to back sweeps but heck, they are playing some good baseball as of late. I hope they can win another series against the Cards starting tomorrow!

I hope this team is in the Wild Card mix toward mid July and trades away a prospect for a MLB player now. Just to see this forum lose their minds.
  20. pacopete4
I just wonder if they are being overly cautious with him so that he can stay healthier later into the year. I mean he did have offseason back surgery.
  21. pacopete4
Yeah but Shelby Miller pitched for the Cardinals so he must be better.
  22. pacopete4
Well the bullpen success was fun while it lasted. Yikes.
  23. pacopete4
Shocker. Another person in the MLB world that just believes we should just take whatever is given to us and like it. In this case we are lucky enough to get one of our own homegrown back but in doing so we get him as a shell of his former self and ONLY have to pay him just a smidgeon over $100 million. Ridiculous.
  24. pacopete4
    Hill smacking dingers tonight!
  25. pacopete4
Sweeeeeeeeeeeep!!!! Only 2.5 back of the Cards. Hopeful for at least 2 of 3 from the Reds heading into that series early next week.
