I said the same thing to the fiance after that last one. Maybe he should get on whatever Braunie is on. LOL!

And I'm saying you just joined the board last month. I've been here for 6 or 7 years. And I didn't say tons, I said 5-10. Guys that I mentioned above, that use advanced stats and understand there's more to baseball than a guy just "being hot." I'm going to stick up for Pete here. I've been reading this board for 5-6 years but just began posting. The reason why is because of all the rediculoous posts about RR. And i want to say im not even a big fan but this board has become almost ubbearable. I work in statistics and played baseball through college. I get advanced stats, I really do... But most on this board live and die by them and think these players are robots I shouldn't of posted the condescending remark. That was my bad but thanks for the post and completely agree. Baseball of all games is more feel than anything. Play hot hands, get a guy feeling about a pinch hitter and he pops one out of the park etc... If it were all about advanced stats, which I'm sure RR sees and has, then a lot more people would be great managers.

That's a baby Hart! Add on!
-
Think Estrada goes back out for the 7th? Not sure if he's stretched out for 100 pitches or so. Gotta be done after this. Braun will probably be booed very hard and that will be very annoying.

It's just how you word stuff and never seem to see other points of views. Cannot stand people who think there is one version of how how this game should go. Be open. You'll learn a lot more about the game. And telling me I could learn a lot more about the game is kind of condescending. I have learned a lot about the game on this board but from people like Russ, TheCrew07, TLB, etc. Plus I'm not some teenaged kid here. I've followed baseball for just about all of my 28 years. I can see other points of view but when someone says something I don't agree, I will ask why they think that and say why I think it's wrong. After all, this is a message board to be used for discussion. Your posts calling me out don't really have much value here. Condescending? I'd tell you that if you were 80 years old and watched a million games. Again it's how you've worded stuff towards me and maybe because it's hot I'm just not having it today. The fact that you think tons of guys on these boards would do better than RR shows the ignorance you have with the game. There's a reason he's there and we are here. Remember that even if you don't agree with his "style" or "brand" of baseball. Enjoy being "right" and enjoy the rest of the game. Im done arguing with you.

I would've been Ok with Aoki bunting there. Or Gomez stealing and then a possible bunt. Gotta tack on.

Not sure why you say that. His arm is stronger than Morgan's. He might not go back on the ball as well as Morgan but he seems to be able to judge the ball off the bat a lot better and can come in better. How do you not have a job in baseball? Crazy how you know and see EVERYTHING!
-
Sweet play. But of course that can't trickle off his glove for a base knock. Just the way the season has been.
-
Cody Ransom. A guy that should be a backup at 3B, SS & 2B next season. Good pickup Melvin.
-
Damn you RR, why did you play Hart? Stupid base running.
-
Keep the dang ball in the park pitchers.

I honestly think there are at least 5-10 people who post regularly here who could do a better job than Roenicke. Hell, they'd probably do a better job than a lot of managers because it seems like most guys still think in terms of "old-school baseball." Wasn't talking in terms of baseball knowledge or managing the game. Was saying he's in that clubhouse and knows who needs a day off more than anyone on here. Cry me a river. Nothing I hate more is people who think there is one way a baseball game should be managed. Just a couple days ago people were saying how Nyjer should be benched for his stupid play. Well he's out so at least those people are happy.
-
He's giving guys a day off. A rotation. Big deal. It's 100 degrees out. He's smarter than all of you when it comes to the Brewers. Quit the griping. Go Brewers!!

Mike Fiers - Your 2009, 22nd round pick
pacopete4 replied to Bombers's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Seen quite a few people on here and other message boards talk about how it wont last. Read people calling him Suppan and such. It's stupid. Just people looking to be negative about a guy who has been nothing but positive so far. -
Mike Fiers - Your 2009, 22nd round pick
pacopete4 replied to Bombers's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Those people who are hating on Fiers waiting for him to crumble are people looking to be the "I told you so" guys because Fiers isn't supposed to be this good. And hey, he might not be. He may come crashing back down to earth but he could also be that diamond in the rough. That guy that slipped thru the cracks and just needed to mature to get where he is now. Who knows really? But it is a fresh sight for this guy that wants us to be able to develop our own pitching. But maybe that is it. Maybe because we just haven't had a lot of success doing that, people are so skeptical. Oh well, go get em Fiers! -
No. That would just further decimate an already depleted farm system. It's not about just making the playoffs, it's about making/winning the WS. There are just more healthy/talented teams than the Brewers and they wouldn't get far, even if they did squeak in (which is highly highly unlikely). Try to trade some/all of Greinke/Marcum/KRod/Kottaras, restock the system a bit, and get back at it next year. I always forget it is hard to read sarcasm in people's voices. I am all for trading anyone and everyone. I would love for the Brewers to keep Greinke though. If a deal could be reached to keep him, AWESOME! But everyone else pretty much can be on the trade block besides the few obvious guys.
-
Lets do the unthinkable. Lets trade for a piece to help this club and make a playoff push once again. Offer Greinke a nice contract with some scouting options (say, let him make the 2nd round selection while he is a Brewer haha), and lets go after it!
-
At least Gomez has made him throw some pitches.
-
Start Ransom. He's way better on both O & D
-
Wonder what he said to him going by the mound. Hopefully this game gets fiesty.
-
Gotta win game one. NEED 3 of 4. Come on Crew, get hot!
-
Money talks in all of these situations. Unfortunately. I'd cut Izzy in a heart beat but they won't.
