  1. It's kind of like finding that franchise QB. There are handful of teams that have em and the rest play musical chairs with the rest of the guys available. Some teams get good years out of guys and others get crappy years. In the end, all those pitchers make WAYYYY too much to blow as many games as they do.
  2. Time healed me enough to say I still have some optimism. Just win series. Take two now from the Cards and we'll go from there. It starts TODAY!
  3. There could be. Even if we do sell, and I hope we do. Bring up Henderson, Peralta, Rogers, Schaffer and get ride of Greinke, Marcum, Nyjer, Krod, Loe for the best price we can get for them. DFA- Livan and whoever you cant trade out of the prior mentioned and go with below for the rest of the season and see what's there and whats not. Rotation: (5) Gallardo Fiers Rogers Estrada Peralta Bullpen: (7) Axford Henderson Wooten Thornburg Parra Veras McClendon Thornburg? Whoops! I had him in the starting rotation but took him out because, well, I just see him as a releiver in the future. My own personal preference I guess but I added him and took out Rogers because I had him starting and relieving. Not that any of this would ever happen but if we are selling I say why the heck not? Bring up those pitchers and give them 2 months of MLB experience to see where we stand on all of them. That way we find out who has it for next season and who doesn't. We might be very surprised to see that some of these guys might be better options that we have now. But we might also find out that they need more seasoning or just don't have it and we need to look elsewhere. Either way, we might find cheaper options for our roster and build a very, very strong young core of pitchers. Heck, this doesnt even include guys like Bradley and Jungmann so even if a few don't pan out, we still have a couple more on the way.

  5. Jim Henderson- 43 innings, 11 saves, 1.88 ERA, 35 hits, only 19 BB's, and 47 strikeouts. Guy is 29 years old, give him a chance!
  6. Ya we can just watch him walk guys and throw belt high cheese in the 7th and 8th inning then. At least it'll save me from watching us in the 9th I guess.
  7. Axford probably has been distracted (having twins and separate times of the season) but this is PROFESSIONAL baseball. You don't get to be so weak minded that you don't EVER ADJUST!
  8. 1-2-3... just like playoff teams are supposed to do. Sell. Sell em all.
  9. I'd rather just have crappy starters any day than a terrible bullpen. Sick of our guts being ripped out by that stupid Canadian.
  10. Ax is just too damn wild this year to be consistent. Wild within the strikezone last season. Just plain old wild this year.
  11. Joey Votto out 3-4 weeks. That could be huge. Get em tonight Crew! Need game one.
  12. If its a trade I sure hope we get some good ballplayers in return.
  13. Send him back? Crazy. He's earned the right to be in the MLB. If I were him and were sent back I'd never respect the organization again. I'd want out as fast as I could. You reward players when they play as Maldy has since coming up.
  14. All you can keep doing is winning series. Gotta now take 2 of 3 from the Cards. Set themselves up for the Reds
  15. Is Sheets on a one year? Maybe he's our vet pick up in the off season. Sure would be fun to have him again, healthy.
  16. Must win game I'd think. Not that they all aren't but dropping 2 of 3 at home against the team we have to catch would definitely (not like there hasn't been enough already) be an indicator to start moving our pieces for our future.
  17. It will be interesting if Greinkie is traded because Peralta has been lights out and probably deserves a chance.
  18. Win 2 of 3 each series from here out and we are 91-71. Win series. That'll get us to where we want to be... hopefully.
  19. http://m.jsonline.com/more/sports/blogs/brewers/162024415.htm Good call. RR didn't even seem very positive about him coming up.
