  1. I know you said "probably". I'm assuming you meant runner at 2nd, 2 out 0 runs scored 78% of the time. That doesn't seem like much but considering how big of a deal probability is in baseball I think it is a big deal. Cameron has good speed and would likely score on a single. That 8% difference in probability in a round about way is the difference between having Kendall (.299 OBP) batting instead of Cameron (.379 OBP). The difference between a .250 hitter and a .300 hitter is huge, so why wouldn't an 8% more likely to score a run scenario not be? I know you're very knowledgable I'm not looking to argue with you. Just found that to be an odd comment coming from you.
  2. I just got visions of that little kid that keeps smacking the tee and not the ball. Then the ball rolls 5 feet and the tee is on the ground.
  3. How do you know that? McGehee wouldn't have stood a better chance with a runner on 2nd base there? There is no way to know that.
  4. Terrible baserunning this inning. Anyone thinking out there?
  5. If you read the comments made by Reds fans all but one was very respectful of the Brewers and they wanted Phillips to keep his mouth shut. I don't have a problem with what he said at all. As far as division rivals I think I dislike the Reds and their fans the least.
  6. We will all see players differently than some other people do. If you're a fan of a player, without realizing it, you tend to make excuses for them or see them through rose colored glasses. I know I always have for a former Packer quarterback. It's hard to hear criticism of a player you are a big fan of and seeing them for what they are is even harder. I loved watching Sheets pitch. I always got excited when it was his turn in the rotation. It would have been nice for him to get a standing ovation on his way out or better yet return to the team. The reality of it is simple though. He was worth too much to other teams and not worth whatever price it would take for us to re-sign him. Take his name away look at the stats and the more important missed starts and it just doesn't add up to being a wise decision to sign him. Add in the hurt feelings all around and there just doesn't seem to be a chance of him coming back. I'm okay with that. I hope he ends up pitching for the Rangers and goes on to have a nice career.
  7. 14-14 with 12 home runs. Schedule looks tough. Twins, Mets, and 2 road interleague series that don't seem to go well. 14-14 would be pretty good in my opinion.
  8. This is sort of related. I have a friend that purchased ticket stubs to the Brewers-Cardinals World Series in "1983". It was framed, he knew they were fake but they were cheap and found it funny. I've been looking to find other fake ticket stubs for him to start a collection. Does anyone know where I could find something like that? Thanks in advance.
  9. It looked like he snuck his hand in and should have been called safe. Gamel made the tag high but the ball beat the runner so we got the call.
  10. There is a way to put Pujols on first here with just one pitch...
  11. "True leaders get drunk and pass out behind the wheel in intersections." I was trying to will that comment out of them.
  12. "A young club like Milwaukee, they don't have a true leader. You know the Cardinals have a bunch of leaders and the number one leader is Tony LaRussa and you know that wouldn't fly with Tony." Even more from the Cards announcers about the Crew untucking.
  13. Cards announcers still saying the Brewers don't know how to win with class. Atleast they got the story about Cam's dad right now. They just still think it's classless.
  14. Blooper to shallow center field, towards left, no where near Braun. Cameron got a bad jump and then it short hopped off his leg. It was a basehit but it should have been a single.
  15. Anthony Witrado blogged about Cameron entering the 250-250 club. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/45970002.html Cameron is only the 20th player to ever accomplish this and has a legit shot at being the 7th player (unless I'm overlooking someone else beating him to it) to enter the 300-300 club. If Cameron can stay healthy and hit 50 more home runs and steal 9 more bases he will be in the 300-300 club. If you add that to his 3 gold gloves does he have a shot at the HOF? I've never looked at Cameron as a HOFer but maybe I'm wrong. The other players in the 300-300 club include Willie Mays, Bobby Bonds, Barry Bonds, Andre Dawson, Steve Finley and Reggie Sanders. Seems like an odd combination of players for a rare accomplishment. I'm not bringing up the other players to make a case for or against Cameron I just thought it was interesting. Just wanted to add that it looks like A-Rod and Soriano have a legit shot at the 300-300 club too. Carlos Beltran might be able to get there too.
  16. I know it would be limited but do they still have a family section? If you don't want to drink or be around drunk people why not sit there? I just don't see it as that big of a problem. Two big rival teams with fans that travel seperated by 90 miles seems like a bigger recipe for fights.
  17. For some reason it seams like the Cubs get to trade less for a player than other teams will give up. I wouldn't be surprised if they get Peavey for next to nothing.
  18. Mat the Batt or autoMATic are good. Maybe towards the end of the year he will earn "Big Game Gamel"?
  19. Roy and I act outraged about PED users to throw people off our trail!
  20. This segment is a joke. 24 citations on opening day against the Cubs? Out of what 44,000 people? So .05% of the people got a citation. It was opening day against our biggest rival and I'm guessing only half of those people were Brewer fans. This happens every where on opening day. I don't know if they still do it but when I was a kid they had kids opening day like a week later. Opening day is not a family event. What makes them think that guy is a die hard Brewers fan? Because he said he is? They needed a story so they created one. Strange that Philadelphia wasn't mentioned. "These gigantic people that weigh 250, 300 pounds" you're not exactly a featherweight either my friend. I personally was shocked that that ladies attorney had harsh words for the people that hurt his client. What a joke.
