  1. Fill us in Rillo
  2. Sorry wasn't sure what thread to post this in but does anyone know why Tuesdays starter against Zambrano is TBA? Would assume you can pencil Sheets in for that one.
  3. I like Bill but can't stand Brian. I live in Phoenix so I occasionally hear Sutton so I do get a reminder of just how bad someone can be at the job. A solo home run in the second inning is like a game winner in the bottom of the ninth in game 7 of the world series to him. I'd like to see someone else do the job next year though. Also I want to climb into my tv and choke the life out of him during potential no hitters. Reporting what is happening is one thing, the occasional mention of it every few innings, great. But the way he talks about it, it's like the opposing team has one going and he's trying to jinx it. As the broadcaster for the Brewers he needs to shut his mouth. He's an obnoxious little twerp. I also can't stand that he can't identify what pitch was thrown to save his life. It was also strange when he first took the job and immediately started poking fun at Bill like they were old pals and Bill barely responded to it.
  4. Considering we have Parra, Bush, Suppan going this series I would be thrilled with a 2-1 series. Especially when Parra's only less than great outing in the last ten was against Houston. I keep overlooking this series to the cubs series, hope the team doesn't.
  5. I didn't get to see the game, had to follow it on my phone at a family birthday dinner, man is my wife pissed. Oh well GO CREW!
  6. I'm with you on this. I just keep telling myself it's been a while since his last start so maybe he doesn't have a hot hand anymore....
  7. I think that at some point, perhaps August the best thing to do is go to a 4 man rotation and give Bush and McClung "spot starts" when a fifth starter is required. How do you keep the non-starter in this case ready for his next start? Have him throw a simulated game the same day? Then he is useless the rest of the time. If you use the non-starter in between turns he is not fresh and ready for his next start. On paper and in theory this is a great idea, I just don't see it working long term. Which also makes me wonder if Yost goes to a 4 man rotation in August. Your only really worried about Parra's arm after this year. If Sheets and Sabathia are over worked who cares it's another teams problem next year anyway. Suppan isn't someone I lose sleep over if they are over worked.
  8. Feel free to move this if it doesn't fit in this topic but I started looking up the 92 team just to remind me of guys I'd be curious about what they are up to... Interesting to me atleast, Paul Molitor was 2nd on that team in home runs with 12. Greg Vaughn led the team with 23. RBI leader was Molitor with 89. I was a kid at the time but the pitching on that team was great. I didn't remember Bill Wegman to be a 3.20 ERA guy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1992_Milwaukee_Brewers_season
  9. Candy Maldonado http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candy_Maldonado
  10. I give him a half empty cup of coffee on the Ned Yost rating scale.
  11. I like Schroeder, I think he does a good job. Its Anderson I'm not a fan of.
  12. He won't sign a minor league deal and I don't want him as a backup. He's not the same player...
  13. http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/07/09/that-should-be-it-for-mota.aspx TH! Finally! I love it. That about sums up how all of us are feeling.
  14. Did Mota play for the Braves before or something? I don't get it either.
  15. Just caught up with the game on my Tivo, I thought we wanted to win now? Why would he put Mota in? Seriously, who didn't see this coming? I know people make mistakes but when you make the same mistake over and over, thats innexcusable.
  16. I noticed some time last year, it's really weird. Nervous habit maybe?
  17. It smells like big foot's.... anyway, GO CREW!
  18. Exactly what I'm saying, yet that is the main topic of sports talk radio out here... not that it means anything just gives a tiny bit of credibility to what Darron said. They are in first place but barely over .500 and seem to constantly try to rebuild and compete for a championship at the same time.
  19. I live in Phoenix, lots and lots of talk on the radio out here about moving Orlando Hudson. The Diamondbacks appear to be attempting trying to make the playoffs and building for the future at the same time, and have been doing that for close to 3 years now. He's in the last year of his contract and they want to get something for him.
  20. I actually quoted myself I was so proud haha
  21. Yeah the chant in the beginning got me pumped
  22. Really small zone tonight, The ump has welcomed him to the NL by squeezing him.
  23. Yeah it looks like the ball was in his throwing hand, tagged him with empty glove
