  1. Seen that. Not sure what he was attempting to accomplish with his slide. Ran down line then slid inside directly into the the Catcher for an easy out. Tough loss. Cruz is an intriguing player. Think he could have a massive season with the Pirates at some point. Pittsburgh is my small market team I want to see some success at times.
  2. 10 game road trip. Looks like only 2 Lefties taking the mound and 1 of them is Madison Bumgarner. Looks like 3 more series wins to me.
  3. The ultimate FU to Rodgers would be taking a WR at 15 a year after trading up in 2nd to draft him Watson. Nate-Is there something about Karl Brooks that you drafted him twice? Bowling Green isn't exactly a football powerhouse. Your first draft also took 3Edge rushers and a DL. Did you intend to do that? Think the Jets trade mock is best mix played out of the 2 mocks.
  4. In a Heartbeat they would. Imagine Giolitos value decreases after 81 more games.
  5. 8 mil to another to top 3 picks. Looks like an easy college sign below slot and then use 2nd or 3rd pick on a HS overslot to draft pick value.
  6. Welcome Day 1 of many division leading! B2B2B HRs. B2B HRs inning later. B2B Shutouts of the Mets. On B2B 4/4 day!
  7. Looks like either of the(projecting] 2nd rd picks paired with the 3rd would be high enough to trade back in to the 1st rd for like 27-31. And still keep 1 of the 2nds. More likely you see the 4th and highest 2nd trade up to early-mid thirties and get one of those overnight 1st rd talents who had fallen. Guess you're sorta looking at do you want that 5th yr player option or just stick with the 4. Would be nice for the Rodgers trade to get completed already make a pre-draft easier to guess.
  8. Takeaway. Imagine that Burnes in the run for Cy Young carries a final ERA just above who actually wins it. Opening day Adames' errors (charged and mental) cost him 2 earned runs today. Or I dunno let's see Burnes be a 4ERA guy and close the season a below 2 ERA guy to not be a reason they didn't make the playoffs. The ump pushed the bats to swing at balls since early he was calling low or outside the zone strikes. Same deal last year the ump called in Cubs favor. Let's see a fair zone and what our bats will do today.
  9. Predictions. Well 93-69 1st in division. MVP Woodruff but Mitchell gets votes towards it. We're in for a great season that will make the 2023-24 offseason difficult to navigate.
  10. Here's something that should be tossed at the Jets side. Aaron Rodgers value in 2022 was higher than any season value [according to profootball reference) the NYJets received after spending on 1st rd QBs in the 2000s. At #s 2, 3, 5, and 18 with their best drafted QB Chad Pennington. 13 should be easy to pay for Rodgers production theyve never had while spending higher draft capitol trying to attain.
  11. Yeah wasn't a response on your 2 2nds post just in general. Wouldn't the timeline of Rodgers announcement, trade negotiations and GB desire for a 1st and then the Jets moving their WR and 3rd to get a 2nd back kinda hint that instead of a 2nd and 3rd vs the 1st rd pick the Jets improved their offer to be 2 2nds to keep the 1st? Yet I don't see this floated around in rumors when I thought a 2nd and 3rd was a quick rumor when Rodgers came out he intended to play for the Jets. One thing I'm noticing MSM is loaded with Jet fans, ESPN Radio you'll hear and I'm a Jets fan or know like Greeny is a huge Jets fan. Their opinion is going to favor the trade in the Jets side. So much so you hear them offering just a 3rd because they have "leverage" now. Which the Jets don't have one to trade.
  12. Wheres any rumor that the Jets are willing to part with both 2nd round picks instead of their first? Trade value wise it's about 200pts less than the 13th on its own. Whichever the two options 1 or both 2nds, just throw in #170 to move the needle just a smidge towards the Jets.
  13. But Frelick is the 1 who can win a draft pick back. Serious question, which team out there is trading for Hiura to add to their 26man OD? He's waiver wire material at this moment is he not? Going to be passed around for a few weeks before clearing waivers to be put in that team's AAA. The Phillies have a better performing player I believe named Hall to play 1b. If he is traded it has to be ptnl or cash.
  14. Couldn't you have just combined this with your other article that said Tellez and Urias playing big game tonight. Personally despise the way Articles are spamming the forum talk. Why don't we have just an Articles forum to separate the Brewers baseball talk forum? What's the most an Article has had for comments after? 2nd page?
  15. It's a fairly straight forward 4man rotation of Burnes, Woodruff, Peralta, and Miley. The 5th spot is likely destined for Ashby. I'd assume #5 goes towards a Lauer/Houser mix as you don't really see over 3-4IP the season's 1st start.
  16. Interesting thought. Packers could be waiting on the 1st this season for its value or holding out til past the 2023 draft with a 1st rd ask for 2024 which odds are higher that it would be later in 1st but still a 1st rd pick vs a 2nd and conditional. Now is the 2024 draft stronger in terms of top talent? Or stronger in depth than the 2023 draft talent. I'd assume this must be the last season where 2020 affects the depth that the draft may hold because players being awarded an extra year of eligibility. Or would that be 2024 where it ends?
  17. I'm a bit surprised you would throw out the if he starts stinking like Russell Wilson part. Jackson is 26. If he's looking for guaranteed contract, it is going to cost him in years total a contract is given. 6years? 5? I'd have a hard time seeing a team wanting to guarantee beyond 4-5 years to anybody but at 26 Jackson for a productive to MVP QB, seems like one who could get 6years. At 26, 6 years takes him to age 32. Wilson's poor season just came at age 34. Are the Jets the team to do this? They probably should as a Franchise. I'm thinking they want Rodgers to come in be good for a year. Pass on something towards Zach Wilson, like he must have to Love. After all, GB is pushing away Rodgers ready to start Love at QB. Then see where they are at a year later with Rodgers and Wilson. Jets would be forced to consider entering his 4th season then to pick up the 5th year option. It's a tough pill to swallow on your #2 QB selection to commit full moving on option Jackson would be.
  18. By enough picks you mean future picks? They only have 1 pick each round 1 through 6 and no 7th. The total value doesn't even exceed just the #3 pick in the draft. Nice to hear we signed a FA Safety. Amos turned out as a good FA sign. New blood there is needed.
  19. They have a cap before luxury tax. Yankees make so much money, you can't cap and penalize them hurting players potential salaries. I like how Brock made the Television revenue shared point vs the tickets revenue sharing. One would be fixed and more predictable. And I think something more predictable would go a long way towards a salary floor proposal. That's my feeling since retraction isn't an option. I'd personally like to see 2 teams removed from bottom 1/3rd markets and their portions of revenue sharings is spread more to the already receiving teams.
  20. In terms of draft trade value a pick swap is like getting the 100th selection end of 3rd rd. 1st #13 1150 value. All of Jets remaining picks in 2023 843.5 Value. 20th pick value. Swapping our 2nd for their 1st in the trade is net 700 value. 26th pick value. Jets 2nd and 3rd is 690value. 27th pick value. Swap first and get 2nd is 570 value. About 34th pick value. Gambling with 2024 picks when Rodgers addition could be the best QB Jets have every had in their history by end of 2023? God it's such loss because you see at best an 18th pick value of 900.(condition of making the playoffs worst record with playoff loss) Win SB pick 32 is 590 value. Swap our 2 with their 1 has to be the minimum return value if Rodgers is traded before the draft 700 value. I guess I could say 2&3. For 690value. If you take a 2024 1st it's unconditional if you're not getting the minimum value before it,for 2023. It's nuts to me people would trade Roders away for a 3rd rd pick to be over this.
  21. ADamBR2. This is sorta why I came up with my idea. The draft trade value nets GB about the 26th pick value in the 1st rd by swapping. Jets keep enough value the 2 seconds is enough value to be the 18th pick in a trade. Move up to about 23-25 and they could then take that teams 3rd rd. pick for equal value. Or they just keep 2 top half 2nd rd picks. The trade value between 13 and settling for 43 is a 1st rd value of 780 or #22. That's a big gap when settling for the 2nd vs getting their 1st. You take a 1st next season it stands within reason Rodgers carries them to a 26+ selection. At 26 combined with you have to assume this year's 2nd rd the value stands between #14 and #15 combined. GBs top 2 pick compensation then is below the value of getting this year's 13. It's important to get more than 2nd rd value for Rodgers when your taking on the large hit moneywise.
  22. GB should not give in til they get the Jets 13th pick. The swap idea 15-13 isn't working. Jets don't want to not not have a 1st rd pick this season. Simply tell them swapping your 13+ 3rd with 2024 conditional 3rd, for our 45th in 2023. They'll have 43&45 more than enough to trade back in to 1st round. I'd make the conditional as 3rd with 2nd if win division. 1st if played in AFC Championship game. Send them some money I guess if that's a thing. I've heard mentions during ESPN Milw radio of that, but I didn't think that was a thing could do.
  23. Probably based on the fact there's 0 SB victory chances keeping him here in GB. 13-3, 13-4, B2B MVPs and he didn't get us there. Now? GB defense blew their talent, the DC is back because Rodgers won 4 in row, keeping Barry to ruin them again. Fans dealt with Favre, who's only ruined his image further past his Packers career. Been there done that. Just rip the bandaid off on vs the years of getting our hopes up and then extremely letting fans down in brutal ways. Bucks are excelling, easy timing to take a break on Packers heartbreaks. That Lions game was the nail in the coffin. I can't care less what happens with Rodgers in GB or gone. The FO has shown it wasn't helping Rodgers down the stretch, season after season. They wasted a 1st rd&4th rd pick on Love in 2020 lets go ahead and see how terrible a move they made. I don't want to be robbed of him not starting for a season as a GB QB anymore. Prove to me you were the smartest guy in the room getting Love, vs the dumbest.
