  1. If/when you call up Hiura he'd just take Voit's 40man roster spot seeing as he'd be dfa. Once the crew make this move, it's now or never with Hiura. Can't dfa and hope to see him go unclaimed. They also would need to hope Hiura doesn't elect FA.
  2. He's shown that the team can handle an Adames injury or trade future with his defense. As a 2b/SS great defense gives you a long leash with bad batting. And thus far Turang is showing better than bad batting.
  3. Both teams to keep it tied and go 15-18innings straining their bullpens and 6th SP eventually.
  4. Team needs to make a move and Hiura should be it. Winker's career HR pct up to this season I about 3.86pct at 90PA with 0 he's 3.48 HRs behind his average. Voit's career is 5.17pct HR. 68 PAs he is also 3.51 HRs behind his average. Add it up 7 HRs between the two. Whatever Analytics the Brewers are using to teach a style approach to their new hitters isn't working. Or flat out these two have just reached finished baseball careers. No reason to keep Voit on the team with 0HRs to his name and 3 total hits vs LH pitching. These 2 are clogs when they get on the basepaths. So do it and bring back Hiura who can provide some HRs this offense needs. Because mentally I'm losing interest with this team and Counsell lineups playing the platoon strategy with Voit at his disposal. I sure am glad Contreras broke through whatever this jinx is with new hitters brought to the team only to underperform in the HR department.
  5. Houser isn't at a 3year FA contract level at this moment. He's more at the 1+mutual Option type FA contract. His role was to become a RP this season. And now we're back at SP. If we see an extension this offseason I'd figure they pay him his last season of Arb and put a mutual option to it. Maybe sounds like an in-season deal. He's a swing man pitcher at the moment. Your best comp would probably be Carlos Villanueva who fit that role that I believe got a deal at some point with the Cubs...tanking years?
  6. Voit vs LHPs is worse than Ben Sheets at the plate for his career. Is there a RH Catcher who can play 1b out there? I'd rather they carry a PH 3rd catcher over carrying the platoon 1b with Voit's incapable bat it seems this season. Edit add- Tellez has a higher OPS vs LH pitching than Voit. CC made this lineup worse by using Brosseau at DH and using Voit at 1B. Just bat Tellez at DH and Brosseau at 1b if you're looking to give him a day off. Voit should just be DFA already. He's brought 0 power and LH Pitching protection at the plate.
  7. Now 5-9 since Mitchell was lost.
  8. The 3 rookie OFs were supposed to take some of the offensive woes/concerns. Getting stuck with the lowest preseason expected help and the other 2 going down days apart just ruined that flexibility to shuttle a hott bat vs cold bat up n down. Losing Urias game 1 also major loss. As typical Winker bounce back season isn't happening that's 4 players you hoped to rely on. Taylor game 1 makes it 5. Adames is not any better aside from BB rate than last season, but also not any worse. So he's doing his part. Turang after a 3 game break due to platoon Counsell had 2 hits but of course had the game ending SO. Yeli continues breaking hearts on returning to form with crap PAs and the 2 or 3 hit balls that week you think something may click. We're in this 40man dilemma with the long term injuries to Urias&Mitchell where both will return later in the season. Add Woodruff/Ashby/Alexander/Wilson long injuries but potentially coming back. Added to their bullpen shuttling with majority of them not solidified. They're in this crunch managing current, future, and what to do with more injuries with depth. Who do you go get? Backup 1st base? Tellez has been the best bat thus far. Contreras at C a great 2nd. 2b jettison Turang in a trade, your true SS future&backup? I guess the answer is trading Adames for a better hitting 2b? Remove Anderson from 3b+flex from 40man for a better 3b bat we haven't had since....Aramis? Good luck. It remains the team doesn't possess a batter who a pitcher would rather walk vs facing. Chourio sounds like that future and we're playing the waiting game til he's ready. Btw Wiemer hasn't crushed it offensively yet he's had 10BBs to 21Ks now nearing 100 PAs his rookie come up. Hopefully he progresses where his Balls in play go for Xtra base hits and more often in the OF. Voit is a problem providing 0HRs. But again he's Tellez backup not a near every game starter. You can't improve the lineup daily from him without also moving Tellez.
  9. 1/9 RISP. No HRs. So overdue for big game
  10. Guy has high whip. Let's see 2 walks and a 3run HR or 2 run double.
  11. Yelich has an easy 3 seasons ahead of him before seeing a move reducing his playing time. After this season when Winker leaves you know he's the DH from that point forward with only OF games when injuries say its needed. I dunno what it's going to take but somebody is going to figure out the inability to loft balls 8-10degrees higher than he's doing with his swing. His swing isn't as soft looking as the 2020/2021 version was swinging. If somebody would pay me half a mil I'd happily dig through the tapes and look for a fix between 2018/2019CY vs this continued slap ball in the ground version. Obviously he has a beaten mentality with approaches he takes in ABs. Anyone wanna make that happen? 😆😅😂
  12. 16-11 seems ideal with Taylor/Houser returning. But I wouldn't be surprised they go 20-7 because these teams may be worse than giving credit for(while we're better than giving credit for)
  13. It'd be foolish for the Packers to not pick up his 5th year option. I'd think the hold up is trying to extend Love now and he's witnessing what Jackson got and well. Love knows where he stands in terms of talent, the practices, maybe what Rodgers passed on to him where he thinks he at in the league. The outside view is he's not proven to be a top tier or tier 2 QB thus far. So outside people would think like Reilly 20/20/25x3 should be good enough for Love to take. But Love shows out this year his numbers are upper 30s since that is what the rate is. Daniel Jones has 40mil per the next 4 years. Love is sitting in the catbird seat because he's got 20mil easy coming to him on that 5th year option. All it takes for him is to look really good for 1 of the next two seasons to see twice that or more come 2026. It's just a dream to believe Love would sign an extension that at first glance you'd think that team friendly if. Any extension he gets the first glance has to look like whoa, whoa, whoa that's way too much! It's their fault really to be in this situation because A. you didn't have to draft him in 2020. B. you didn't have to extend Rodgers to the seasons where you're stuck making the 5th year option decision on Love or extending him. C. You also let Rodgers get the win believing he could pull out 5 consecutive wins, vs benching him with 5 games to play and giving Love a real shot to prove himself on not only the 5th year option but a price point for an extension.
  14. Man really bad look vs a LHP whose last start allowed 7 runs to Oakland that included 5 HRs. 2hits in 5IP. Really big oof.
  15. I'm not too high on Brooks. He's clearly slow and non agile. Bowling Green's conference is basically filled with 1 good team and the rest fighting for 4-6wins on the season. I went back through last 2 seasons of box scores and vs the 4 teams with significance outside the conference faced. UCLA had 0 tackles, 1 PD. Mississippi St. 1 solo tackle 1 PD. And the bowl game vs New Mexico St. 0 Tackles. 1 PD. In 2022. Against the 7-6 2021 Tennessee Vols he did have 5 total tackles with 1 for loss. Minnesota 1 tackle a sack. So against 5 teams outside his conference 5G 7 Tackles 2TFL. 1 sack. Highest rank teams were MS St at 20 and UCLA at 21. I'd be very surprised if the NFL talent facing doesn't keep him from having any impact.
  16. Big win for fans in attendance. Crew win. 6 hits 3 each by Trout and Ohtani including 2 Trout HRs.
  17. Some hilariously bad strike calls on balls. I have it 9-3 atm Angel's favor. 2 of the Angel's bad zone calls came to a Ward AB. To funny it happened to Ward his next PA 3 batter up after his poor route on Contreras double. Ump was mad at him.
  18. Man just a peeve after watching a lot of highlights for players picked. I would wish the highlights not include any tape footage involving bottom 50 rated teams in division 1. Like oh look Alabama highlight of a int/pick six or sack vs. one of these teams. Take B10 ranked teams and highlights with Rutgers involved. Only reason to show any tape vs a Rutgers is if they had a top 50 draft prospect that the player in the highlight beat 1v1. Sorta like Van Ness destroying Skoronski.
  19. I see we've reached the leg up on udfa portion and this isn't likely the last PK pick I'm thinking.
  20. See Johnson's fall ended right after our Wicks selection. you may have had a Safety or ST players had you not I dunno, taken a practice squad QB with your 6th pick in the draft.
  21. NFL.com rates him a priority undrafted signing. We have like 7 picks in the upcoming rounds. who was drafting this guy in the next 50picks? Not even a writeup worthy player for espn.
  22. We've reached the point on Johnson's slide to wonder if he too has an injury affecting him. They said he had an eye infection during the senior bowl period. Hope it didn't affect his vision in a permanent way.
  23. You're probably right since I use wifi. I just wouldn't mind it split it half on 2 posts with the scrolling space to move to the next post.
  24. Any chance when you post videos to limit it to 2 or 3 max? Really bogs down trying to load. Sat for over 1min waiting for this comment to load.
  25. Well, not sure for this choice. Van Ness and Wyatt, you've got a bigger need with your next pick 32 away. Sure you can trade up but it takes a team willing to trade down such an amount of picks. Think you'll see 16+ selections go by before you can begin the trading up process. Waiting on Safety, hope they aren't drafted in the mean time. Pack's next 3 selections, 159, 169, 179 lol.
