  1. Takes his share of walks while not striking out near 20pct? Mashes lefties. Yeah any comparison saying JBJ replacement is hilarious. Cutch vastly improves on that fake bat that JBJ walked to the plate with. PH vs LHP? Yep huge upgrade there. People likely will be disappointed with the $$$. 4-5 is a joke offer. Expect this approaching 8.5-11 mil a year.
  2. Carlos Rodon just signed for 2 years 44mil. Pedestrian numbers until last season. Houser is above average vs the league in every category among Batted Ball numbers. Rodon finally beat some last year and others were still behind. Think when you start to weigh what Houser's value should be it needs to start as being a 3 year 66mil value FA pitcher being acquired with upside who is clearly not about to be paid 66mil the next 3 years. 20? as a guess. 46mil+ surplus value on somebody with a sample size. Wheres that put him among prospects equal value to that?
  3. DISLIKE! That would be hard pass for me and the end of being invested to Brewerfan discussions.
  4. Definitely missed Tonyan this season. Really had no up the seam TE mismatch for Rodgers to expose the middle of the field and keep those double&triple team Adams defense more honest. Deguara has shown he's a joke at that. A RB-FB hybrid isn't the answer for a #1 TE. Also goes to show you how important Tonyan was to the offense. When you're #1 in red zone TDs and lose 11TDs from the TE position mid year. You are dropping near bottom of the league when nobody comparable is your backup. No threat from TE position meant that extra defender on a WR or to spy a RB. MLF and that hybrid RB-FB he plays as a TE-FB is going to be a major downfall to his offensive scheme if he continues to insist that guy has a big role running it.
  5. This would be rich if they drafted 2 WRs for Love in 1st 2days. Would fit the narrative of 2020s draft of Love and Dillon. Moving on beyond Rodgers rather than drafting to help him immediately. There was a comment on Amari Rodgers lack of use. Well he fumbled often when given the chance. Not much on kick or punt returns left the idea he should have the ball in his hands. That Cobb mentorship did not give Rodgers the Cobb skills on the field.
  6. Well on this play about Lazard the Safety chose Adams when I imagine the play design has Lazard pulling that safety for a moment to cover him. Leaving Adams 1v1. Want to sum this up? You get what you pay for. 2020 draft has 5WRs selected between Love and Dillon selection out of 7 with over 1000yards receiving, 3 that are over 1500yards and 1 of them 1yard from 2000yards. Rodgers didn't target any WR not named Adams more than 1. The problem should have been resolved in 2020 wasnt. And here we are lamenting another playoff loss. #2 WR in 2020 and 2021? 33 rec for 690 and 40 for 513 yards. For reference Tampa, Rams, and 49ers #2s this season was 1035, 802, and 826 yards respectively. Edit add. That safety doesn't bite on the play design simply because everyone knew its Adams or bust. Rodgers was throwing to nobody else.
  7. Am I wrong or are we possibly heading at this moment to Allen Lazard as #1 WR and Amari Rodgers #2? Aren't MVS and St Brown FAs too? If Love is QB without Adams is over under 3.5 or 4.5 wins next season? Barring some fix for thar WR corp?
  8. If Rodgers had an actual 2nd receiver option like a George Kittle he destroys SF. But instead he has I fumble a lot M. Lewis, I drop passes Deguara and Dafney, I don't want to be here Cobb, and Lazard making mistakes at worst times for his options. Rodgers is to blame for not involving either of his 2nd options more than 1 play each. MLF has to eat his design for the personnel he had to work with. I recall very little motion before the snap. Not one get the ball in somebody else's hand on a motion sweep type play. That could maybe be used as misdirection later. When MLF loses these big games its fairly obvious he has a lot of the blame to be put on him. JIMMY g had 3 options to work well with. So did Rodgers until Dillon left immediately to begin 2nd half. It's the match-up people said would be an upset. They likely had 2 on Adams by 2nd quarter and 2nd half it'd turned to 2 and a spy because nobody else had any real shot of being thrown too. SF front 7 then overwhelmed the run game w/o Dillon and pass pro to sack Rodgers. Can we not only trade Rodgers but MLF too? Guy has no chance at 6wins when Rodgers leaves. 39-10 smoke and mirrors will turn to pushing losing seasons and near .500 record if he stays another 5 seasons without Rodgers.
  9. Game over. No Dillon left 0 options after Jones and Adames. Cobb really has no desire to play today. Can't find a way to involve Lazard.
  10. Not much room to roll out. 49ers have contained the pocket really well tonight. That left side looked wide open. Could be wrong though. He escapes left don't recall an option left. Everyone was right to pass to. Maybe Cobb could try to make a play and turned left along endzone line.
  11. 3rd and goal. Cobb has 0 intent on a play going his way. He is simply a decoy attempt to pull defenders away from Adams. Defense knows this they are staying home on Adams. Without Dillon. We aren't scoring another TD vs SF.
  12. Typical 3 and out pass plays coming out 1st drive of 2nd half. Create a run play already. Where's the motion?
  13. I would like to see a breakdown of that as well. Probably whoever was supposed to block him either ignored him or whiffed huge. They dont block that outside guy. They stated the time to reach a block position from the edge should be split second slower than timing for snap hold and FG kick. Of course if you bunch in real close well that edge isnt as far from blocking. I just think he has to time to snap and be offsides for him to be where he was on that block. Nothing about snap hold left the feeling of delay. Lastly not one camera view down the line til just now. So wasnt the edge. Whiff edge block. Ffs
  14. Only guess on Jones is he thought he had 1 guy to beat amd was going for the defender overrun while he cut back across field. H then noticed the 2nd and was tackled?
  15. Jones runs OB when he probably shouldnt. Then stays in boumds when he should have just raced along sideline. And FG block? We seen this the first 5 games in year and said some point the guy will block it. But he could have caught that so was he offsides? How is it possible to be standing not diving to block a FG from edge? Oof on opportunities.
  16. Dude they stood up the ball carrier for like 3 seconds on the first one lol Yeah this comment is on the Aiyuk fumble overturned.
  17. I thought it was a trap against body adjusts the ballin to hands while making a football move and punched out. Dont see anything different than what Lewis did on fumble. On Gary's sack should have been whistled false start. Kicking is brutal. TDs are a premium. Id question around 43yards. Dafney wanted no part of being hit on his first target. Not sure why tje following 3rd down had 0 receivers within 5 yards of 1st down line. All at least 10beyond. No chance for Rodgers.
  18. This is such a poor take. Adell was 21 in 2020 making his debut where so many had a bad season. He had 55ks in 132PAs. 2021 he reduced that to 32 in 140PAs. He improved. Hiura a couple years his senior, did not. Adell will come with extra team control. Like I said Hiura=Tellez value of last year. Adell for Houser plus is being realistic and not through Brewer fan goggles. Which poster here asks these type of questions to the Fangraph chats? Go ahead and ask what would it take for the Brewers to get Adell? Houser or Hiura straight up? Just look at his 2019 minors numbers from A+ to AA to AAA. Then look at his 2021 AAA numbers. Turning 23 in April.
  19. Think Adell would be more in line for Houser. Maybe adding Taylor. There is big upside on Adell. Hiura is broken. I'd expect a trade value along the lines of Tellez fwiw, maybe lower. You can't trade Hiura at his lowest value til trade deadline or next offseason. Further sample size where he stands. Also, why must anybody put Ray in a trade proposal. Move on.
  20. NE was an AFC Championship game team that season at 12-4. Detroit yesterday was 2-13-1 eliminated from playoffs at least 5 weeks prior if not more. If Love were on Detroit and playing the Packers that would fit the kind of team Rodgers faced in that game. I don't know where his future is. Rodgers is here and he's on the bench. Rotting away the value that should have been a 1st+4th rd contributor to a 13-3 team. 2 more years of Rodgers equals the moment you either give Love a contract with his option or let him go away to Free Agency with barely a thing to show for it except a backup sitting on the bench. Which knowing Rodgers' contract prior to selecting Love made the decision, again, poor. Trading up even worse to do it. If Love doesn't qb a single season for GB everyone involved with that pick should be fired, no matter what prestige may occur before then.
  21. More Like Rodgers trying to get a TD to Adams but well defended and didn't force it.
  22. Considering GBs 1st drives this season lacking, I'm all for Rodgers getting a Crack at a TD drive. With Jones inactive I look forward to Dillon leading off a game. They sometimes hold out Dillon until that 3rd drive. I would have assumed Bakt would have played after pulling a few Oline starters. Not sure on starting if it happens. Same on Alexander and now Myers. Nice the game is noon. Start that bye week that much earlier.
  23. Tampa scare me the most because Brady and Gronk. Plus defensive front vs whatever is left standing on GB's offensive front. (And there's always some Brady Ref treatment after all the crying that seems to help a crucial game changing play) There's no way I'm scared of SF. The Rams have Stafford to derail them. Arizona I can't see Murray carrying them. It is just Brady who "finds" ways to win. More experienced that Rodgers in cold weather games. And smart enough to wear you down with 2-6yard passes before 1 deep to Gronk or a WR to defeat you.
  24. Just a what are we doing on these short 3rd downs? Barely reaching original line of scrimmage?
