I would think if Counsell is back he is a lock. After him, Gallardo and the Italian, then it's tough to say. I really hope they do one classic player. Either Deer, Burnitz, Plesac or someone like that.
If you can sell high on him for pitching help, I'm all for it. But I have enjoyed watching McGehee play this season. Love his blue collar approach and the way he has hit this season. Just seems like a good character guy to.
Seen some reports that he is not happy in Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh not happy with him and with the Pirates selling everyone off, perhaps the Brewers could work out some kind of deal and bring Doumit in to be the catcher in 2010? He is having an off year, but was hurt most of the year and never really got rolling. Decent defender, switch hitter and has some pop in his bat. Thoughts?
endaround brings up a great point in Cliff Lee. He was demoted and looked awful before his Cy Young season. Now he has had to terrific seasons in a row. While Parra can frustrate the hell out of me, I'm not ready to give up on him yet. You can't teach being young, left handed and throw mid 90's. He can still turn it around.
Anyone hear if Cameron Maybin will get a lot of PT now that he got called up by Florida? I'm thinking of picking him up and dropping Carlos Gonzalez as one of my backup OF's.
