Went and had a single butter cheese burger basket today from Culvers on my lunch. It was delightful, been awhile since I had one. Just as I remembered, the best fast food burger out there. And I love the crinkle fries.

I like the move. Maybe Hardy can figure things out come back up and get hot at the end of the season to up his trade value. And in the meantime we get a sneak peak at our 2010 starting SS Alcides Escobar.

I would agree with that or a legit #3 almost #2 type. Although he has had a down year, still had good career numbers and his past success should entice some people to buy. I would love if we could actually get Buchholz for Hardy straight up.

Great article on this topic by Bill Simmons. It's a good read. Link

Yeah, walking less. But still an OBP in the .390's. I will take that. Not to mention he is hitting .319. Braun has had another stellar season.

I really can't see a scenario where Hardy isn't moved this offseason and Escobar is not the starting SS next year.

I would also throw my vote in for a Culvers butter burger. Reading this thread has me very hungry for one and I think I know where I am eating tomorrow on my lunch break. Also a big fan of Hardee's burgers. As for fries, I like Culvers fries and Arby's curly fries.

The ball is now gone. Made a trade.

Yes, but it's not looking good. The schedule the rest of August looks good, but it's not like the Brewers have shown they can "beat up" on inferior teams. If they do beat up on those teams the rest of August they will have a chance in September.

I really hope Kendall is not back, unless it is to be a backup. I would hope we can find a comparable defensive "game calling" catcher that can actually hit a little bit, or at least with a little power.

Solid bullpen guy and should be around next year as well. I like it, well done Melvin.

Umpiring all season has just been one big joke. They are all a bunch of hacks as far as I'm concerned.

colbyjack, you are the man. Thank you. I didn't even know that you could click that "firefox". I have had my Mac Book since December and never knew how to change it. Thanks again.

I wish it was that easy. There is no "options" under "tools" drop down menu.

I'm sure it is real easy and I'm just a dummy, but how do I change my homepage for Firefox on my Mac? I couldn't find it in "Tools" or "Bookmarks", don't see an option to change it. I know I could do it on my old PC. Please help fellow Mac users!

I did pull the trigger on the above trade. Then the guy I traded with dropped Lopez right away. I think I got the best of the trade.

I think Hardy will for sure be traded this offseason, hopefully for a legit #2 or #3 starter. I'm not as sure about Hart, depends what they do at 3B with Gamel and what they do about CF.

I bought mine off ebay. I know they have it at amazon.com as well.

I have never been a member of or tried any other board. I have been here and only since 2004. Wish I would have discovered this place earlier.

Yes, find out what condiment Mike Caldwell always carried on the road with him.I just got the book, and it's funny you bring up Caldwell. My book mark is at his chapter in the book. I look forward to the condiment.

I have a Ryan Braun signed BP ball up for trade. I got this in a trade from someone else here on brewerfan.net back in 2007. He got the bp ball at a game and then got it signed by Ryan in the players lot that season. I got Ryan on a ball at On Deck this past winter so I'm looking to deal this one for some Brewers stuff I don't have and want. Items I would accpet a trade for: Robin Yount SI 1982 (Powder Blue jersey cover) Rollie Fingers SI 1981 Rob Deer SI 1987 Rickie Weeks 2003 Bowman Chrome Vintage 1982 AL Champs Pennant Cecil Cooper signed baseball Rickie Weeks signed baseball Hank Aaron 2002 Bobblehead (Long Shot, I know) If you don't have any of these things, make me an offer for something else. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3546/3796112267_6e0001a599.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3473/3796929086_df7c7e9790.jpg

Swindle has been pretty much garbage. So I welcome Colome to the pen.

After Looper gave up that HR to Furcal to lead off the game I was worried. But he settled in and had a very nice outing. 2 of 3 in LA, let's go win a series in Houston and really get back in this thing.

It's not real old time baseball but "Where Have You Gone 82' Brewers?" is pretty good. Interviews and stories on all the members of the 82' team.

What did Witrado say about Prince on 1250? He is the worst writer to ever cover a pro baseball team. Just awful. I like Haudricourt and really like McCalvy. But like most think Witrado stinks and is a major tool.
