I'm in the camp of waiting to trade Fielder till after the 2010 season. -
I like the idea, I just don't see it happening. I think they really like the progress Weeks made at 2B and don't want that to all be for nothing. I say let Cameron walk and maybe start Patterson in CF next season as a stop gap until Cain is ready in 2011.

I would much rather see Escobar, but I think this is to get JJ PT and hope he gets hot and ups his trade value a bit. I think we all know Escobar will be the SS in 2010 and Hardy will be gone. It's pretty much a formality at this point. -
Tonight the Brewers start ones of the biggest comebacks to make a playoff spot in the final month of the season. Maybe not, but a guy can dream. Can't he?

I will wait a few more days to see if anyone wants to make a trade for any of these. Then they will be put on ebay. Let me know if interested.

Jones maybe since he is already at AAA. Not Rogers. He has not pitched above A+ yet. Rogers should start 2010 in AA.progress to AAA and possibly be in the rotation in 2011 if all goes well.

He did, I wouldn't have bet on him having a good day. Hopefully the pen can keep the lead and maybe we tack on a few more. Although we are out of the race, I would like to see us finish over .500 on the year.

From what I have seen he seems alright. I think he could handle right. Just curious, what do you want the starting 2010 lineup to be? Do you want to see the Crew bring back Lopez?

Why is Braun brutal? Because he badly misplayed one ball this season?

Counsell's career year continues. Do you think he regrets not lowering his hands earlier? How much credit do you give Dale Sveum? If Counsell comes back, he HAS to have a bobblehead.

If he stays healthy, I could see Rogers in the rotation in 2011. But for sure not before then.

2010 pitcher trade candidates

I don't know who they can get, but I would think even with their down years Hart and Hardy should net some kind of pitcher that can bridge between Gallardo and Parra/Bush/Suppan. -
SoCal, that is what I thought. Everyone wanted to get the Soup bobble today. Haha, I was gonna start a IGT but figured someone else would. I normally go to all the bobblehead games, not Suppan. I refuse to add that to my collection. Same with the Kendall one this season. Hopefully Gerut and Cat stay hot today.

Yeah, my buddy and I that are going plan on being there around 4pm. I think that should easily get us in as two of the first 1,000. Game time is 6:30 and gates open at 5pm I believe. -
How has Lopez played on defense in the OF over his career? Perhaps resign him and have him play LF? Move Braun to RF and have Hart in CF, or if you trade Hart sign/trade for a different CF? If Lopez could play LF okay this would be my lineup, I just really like Lopez and would love to keep him. But I don't want to move Weeks of 2B. 1. Escobar- SS 2. Lopez- LF 3. Braun- RF 4. Fielder- 1B 5. Weeks- 2B 6. Gamel- 3B 7. Hart- CF 8. (Whoever the Catcher is, not Kendall) 9. Pitcher Bench: Counsell, McGehee, Rivera, Catalanotto, Gerut

I would say Melvin should be able to get something decent for Hardy based on Hardy's numbers before this season and that fact now that the team that gets him will have him for at least 2 seasons. Great move to keep him in Nashville till 9/1. Can't wait to see Escobar at SS everyday in 2010.

I just hope Doug can work out a trade for a pitcher that can bridge the gap between Gallardo and Parra/Bush/Suppan in 2010. Then I hope guys like Rogers, Jones and Braddock pitch well enough next year to be candidates for the 2011 rotation. -
Manny was shaky, but the offense comes through once again. No doubt, if this team had any pitching at all outside of Gallardo, Coffey and Hoffman they would be right in the race with the Cardinals.

Braun was right, as were most of us. They did and do not have the pitching to get to the next level this season.

I have to disagree with TooLiveBrew. I would not call Braun a "terrible" defender. Yes, he totally blew that play. But to call him "terrible" based on that one bad play? He has made many great plays and routine ones over the past two seasons.
