I don't enjoy watching Vargas try to throw to 1B.

Yeah I to am curious as to how it went. I really wish I could have gone, would have been cool to get Parra and really cool to get Lopez. I was at work and there was no way I could have made it down and back during my lunch hour.

Got to agree with you hawing, I laugh a little every time I hear the name Corky Miller and see him come to the plate.

8 for Fielder and Hardy seems fair. I want to start it though with Ellsbury, Buchholz and Bard.
  5. BrewCrewForever
How about Fielder for Ellsbury, Buchholz and Bard? Or is that not enough?
  6. BrewCrewForever
Looper goes Looper. Another HR given up. My goodness, 7 straight starts giving one up.
  7. BrewCrewForever
I have not gotten any of the players so far this week except for Fielder. Bill Hall, pass, Jeff Suppan, pass, Jody Gerut, pass. Tomorrow is McClung, I think I will get him.
  8. BrewCrewForever
I hope Kendall is dealt just so Macha can't play him anymore.
  9. BrewCrewForever
Buck and Aikman Buck and McCarver I can't stand Joe Buck. And it stinks because he is on the main announce team for MLB and NFL on Fox. And both his partners stink to.

I miss Russell so much. It is awesome that he got a 30 HR season finally. Amazing what this guy can do when he is healthy.

I would not do this. Only if the pitcher was Clayton Kershaw. Loney this year... .277/.351/.383 Yes he is slugging .351. He is will be 26 next year. IF we traded Prince I want guys under the age of 25. Either against leftys this year... .198/.287/.356 He is really struggling to hit leftys and he will be 28 next year. I don't think I would do this even if Kershaw was involved. Maybe if you throw in Martin as well we would talk. I think if Kershaw or Billingsley were the pitcher involved I would do it. I still think Loney could develop more power. As for Ethier I was not aware of his splits vs. LHP. But overall he has some pretty stellar numbers.

Folks... this year to date, Escobar's had ZERO extra-base hits in the majors. I'm not sure he's quite the answer. Too small of a sample. He won't hit a lot of home runs, but can hit doubles and triples. Besides, his speed has already shown that it can be a weapon.

I can recall making the 3 hour trip to Miller Park back in 2002 to watch Vladimir Guerrero launch shots off of Rueben Quevado. That was the low point of my 31 year career of watching the Brewers. I thought about how low the club had sunk since 1978, when Paul Molitor appeared at the top of the lineup. Whoa, I remember that exact game. I was there. It was a terrible game and for me one of the low points of a entire season of lows in 2002.

Watching Escobar and Gamel will be fun, as well as seeing Braun and Fielder continue to put up big numbers. If I remember correctly they have the highest duo total or HR's and RBI's. That is pretty cool, they are like the 2009 version of Ruth and Gehrig. Sort of.

While the games have been super frustrating over the past month or so, I still enjoy the fact I get to watch my favorite team play baseball. And here I sit on an off day wishing a Brewers game was on. While the stretch run won't be as exciting since we are out of it, it is still baseball and when the season ends I will be sad. Even though the Packers will be in full stride by then. 1. Baseball 2. Football. It has and will always be that way.

I'm fine with Gamel playing 3B. I just keep hearing that his future is corner OF or 1B. I'm all for him being the 3B, just going off what I have heard. McGehee being a super utility guy would be fine by me.
  17. BrewCrewForever
Lackey or Harden wouldn't be bad options. I hope the Brewers at least explore signing them.
  18. BrewCrewForever
Love this idea, really hope it gets done. Not sure why it took so long, should have been doing it for years.
  19. BrewCrewForever
What if Gamel is playing LF and McGehee playing 3B? I like that thought if Gamel can transition to the OF the way Braun did.
  20. BrewCrewForever
I think more then likely Gallardo, Parra, Bush and Suppan are all back as starters in 2010. We need a solid #2 to go with Gallardo. I think Parra, Bush and Suppan are fine for your 3-5 guys. But can we get a #2 to go along with Gallardo at the top? That is the question.
  21. BrewCrewForever
If they Brewers start McGehee at 3B next season and want to move Gamel to the OF I would be okay with a OF of Gamel- LF, Hart- CF and Braun- RF. Hart is no Cameron in CF, but we need the $10 mill Cam was being paid this season toward pitching.
  22. BrewCrewForever
With what we have right now, this would be my 2010 batting lineup (Hardy traded for pitching, Cameron and Kendall both gone, not resigned. This is without knowing if they trade or sign any free agent position players) 1. Alcides Escobar- SS 2. Rickie Weeks- 2B 3. Ryan Braun- RF 4. Prince Fielder- 1B 5. Casey McGehee- 3B 6. Mat Gamel- LF 7. Corey Hart- CF 8. Mike Rivera- C 9. Pitcher
  23. BrewCrewForever
Yeah, I to thought the Gallardo pitch counts were overblown, but now that we are 10 games out of first. Might as well keep him at a very tight pitch count rest of the season. Do not exceed 100 in any start remaining. He is way to valuable to our club for the future.
  24. BrewCrewForever
Awhile back on Homer's show they were talking about when to trade Prince and what you could get for him. Mitch, Homer's producer said what if the Dodgers offered James Loney, Andre Ethier and a pitcher for him? Would you do it? I think I would.
  25. BrewCrewForever
I think you trade him after the 2010 season. You should get a very nice package back for him that can help keep you competitive with the guys we already have in Braun, Weeks, Escobar and Gamel.
